Spring Soccer: Game 6 vs Pinkalicious

We made it back with a 1/2 to spare before Reganne's game against Pinkalicious.  It is fun playing kids we know and we played them in back to back games.  The girls were ready to play and didn't want to wait.

 Time to scrimmage
 Get that ball
 Defense Reganne
 Can we make it?
 Who has the ball?
 Goal??
 One last team cheer
 Pink Pirates with Coach Heidi
 Pink Pirates  with crazy faces.
Final hugs goodbye.
Kaylee is moving to Montana, McCall will move age groups.  Maybe they will play together next season.

How amazing these girls are and how far they have come with their game.  Each one learned so much this year and are turning into good soccer players.

KSL Read Today Party

We had four between soccer games today and a couple of activities we could attend.  The girls brought home invitations to the KSL Read Today Party.  It asked you to RSVP by April 27th and we were way past that day.  I called the school to see if it was still one without the RSVP.  They were clueless about the whole event.  With four hours to kill what would it hurt to check it out and enjoy Tuachan.  We arrived to crowds of people attending the weekly farmers market and pancake breakfast.  Finally we spotted a boy at the top of the stairs holding a sign welcoming Read Today Readers.  The girls looked at me did they participate and were they members?  Yes they were members and they read a lot of minutes.  Since last year when the KSL Chopper came to school I have been logging their reading minutes each week.  Little Valley Elementary was in the top 10 schools for reading minutes.  We were 7th and the only school in Southern Utah.

We were ready to enjoy the party.

 Picture with Isaac the Mouse
Spin the Wheel...Ryder won chap stick.
 Rylee won a mood pencil
 Reganne won a pin.
Free popcorn & water while we waited for the concert to start.  It started with a sneak preview of Aladdin.  WOW!!! They have a magic carpet and it flies around the theater.  Ryder asked who is Aladdin?  Better get the movie out.
 The Piano Guys.
Reganne turned to Ryder as he started playing the piano with his feet.  He has monkey toes just like you.
 Autographs...A must
 Please sign this and this.
As we left the theater they were handing out books.  Take two everyone.  This turned into take 4.  Then take as many as you can carry.  I believe we ended up with over $200 worth of books.  Wow for a few minutes of work each week the pay off was great.
Who can pass up sticking your head through cut outs of any type.  Here is the advertisements for this years shows.  The girls have made me promise that we will go to Aladdin this summer and not like last year and Little Mermaid.

Spring Soccer: Game 6 vs Green Laterns

We have survived to the last game of the Spring Season.  Lucky for everyone it was at 9:00 and the boys were eager to play.  The weather cooperated with sunshine and cooler temperatures.

 Time to practice.
Take my picture with my ball.
The whistle blew and the game started.
 They were ready to play.
 And play...
 Take a break
The Blue Angel Jets w/ Coach DJ

Once they started playing they didn't stop.  The kept adding minutes to each quarter.  They didn't want to stop.  Once the game was finally called they were all smiles and high fives.

We asked Ryder if he wanted to play next season.  His reply was no I don't want to play in the sun.  It is too hot.  Maybe if he wore less clothes under his uniform it wouldn't be so hot.  We will see what fall will bring.

WOW!!!Grass Stains
I am sure this will be the one and only time I was excited to see grass stains on something.  This is proof that he had a good time today playing.

Happy Mother's Day

My three reasons to celebrate Mother's Day!!!  Being their Mother, Mom, Mommy is the best job I could have and all the craziness that they bring with them.

The best Mother's Day gifts hand made from the heart.
KFC + The Park = Relaxing Lunch
Playing in the water and catching dragon flies
It's Cold

It was a perfect day for a picnic in the park.  No clean up required even more perfect.  This a great tradition we started 5 years ago with the girls.  Now if only a nap was in the picture but they let me sleep in instead.  I love being a mother and watching these three grow every day.

Spring Season: Game 5 vs Pink Princess

On to Reganne's game with 1/2 hour in between to get ready.  Her coach was running late with the Hersey Track Meet so once again we were called into help until she could get there.  One mother coached on the field and I took over the playing roster setup.  Which I have learned over the last two weeks.  The girls were ready to play even if it was 90 degrees.

le

Coach Heidi finally made it with 4 minutes left to play.  She watched from the sidelines and commented how proud she was of how well they played without her.  I complimented her on how well they are playing together as a team.

One more game in the season.  Thank goodness since the early weather reports are showing 95 degrees and we play at 2:00.

Soccer Spring: Game 5 vs Yellow Thunder

Soccer Saturday started with an interesting twist.  Ryder's coach had to work so the assistant coach he asked me to step in and coach the game.  This could have be extremely funny to those who know me and how athletic I am.  I told him sure how hard can it be with four year olds?  Lucky for me there was a mother subbing for the Yellow Thunder Team that was easy going and we started to play.  With only two players we swapped players.  Ryder even played most of the game.

 Kick Off
 Throw In
 Kick the ball
 Throw in
Where is the ball?

The boys were hot, sweaty, and tired, but hung in there until the end.  Mom saved the day again with extra treats in my cooler.  If the smiling sweaty boys were anything judge by I didn't do to bad coaching my first game.

One game left in the season anything could happen.

Giant Roaster Marshmallows

Dave and the kids went shopping for my birthday and mother's day.  They came home with a large bag of Giant Roaster Marshmallows.  Finally on Friday night it was time to roast them they were so excited about starting that they started without me.

This was the sight that greeted me...

 Gooey hands...
 Gooey roaster sticks
Yummy and gooey treats... All for me.
Reganne's started on fire and quickly expanded to twice the size.

The kids determined that they were too sweet and then they started to burn.  This is my favorite way to eat them so they started making them for me.  They are so large that you can only eat one.

They quickly lost interest and decided to play on the jungle gym and leaving the marshmallows for another time.
