Sunday Visitors

and a wonderful birthday visit from Sharai & Jordan  and their daughter Evelyn.  The kids were excited to have more family visit and soon captured Evelyn to watch Frozen with them.

It was a great visit but of course my camera had to come out to capture their visit.

The girls helping her  with the ball.

All too soon the visit was over and time for them to hit the road back north to Bear Lake.  We hope they come for another visit soon.

Other Half

Dave was in charge of this camera.  Lucky for me he did catch a few shots.

Playing defense

Where did those long legs come from?
Such concentration.
A soccer selfie

The day was getting hotter time to call it a day and relax.  NOT!!!!!  It was now Rylee's turn for theater practice this afternoon.

Soccer Saturday

It was a beautiful day for soccer games.  Big problem that both games were at the same time.  One bigger wrinkle Ryder's coach was out of town so guess who was coaching.  The boys were ready to play and Rylee was on camera duty as well as official time keeper.

These pictures turned out really well much better than my coaching.  The boys had fun and the parents were way to vocal.  I had remind one mom that these were little boys and they should be having fun not constantly being stopped to play the game perfectly.

I turned around and Reganne was coming up behind me.  Her game was over too.  Hopefully, Dave took a few pictures.

Saturday Adventure.....

Saturday was supposed to be full of soccer games, cleaning, and shopping.  Plans can change as quickly as the weather here.  It was a rainy morning and the temperatures dropped about 20 degrees from yesterday. Soccer was cancelled due to the wet slippery condition of the fields.  We were afraid our afternoon plans would change as well.  The sun started to shine through on our way to Moapa  jackets were still required.

We arrived at the Roos n More Zoo with minutes to spare before our tour began.

Great Danes were there to greet us.

Lemurs

This lemur was very friendly.
Think King Julian and you would be close.
He loved to be held like a baby and have is belly scratched.

Stand tall Ryder.
Mom, he is heavy.

Baby Boa constrictor
A Zonkey
Part Donkey and Part Zebra

Albino Wallaby
Every wonder what it looks like inside a kangaroo's pouch?
Very soft and warm.
There he is and I get close enough to pet him?

Sure enough he let the kids get up close and personal.

Love at First Sight
My favorite picture of the day.

This little monkey was under a month old and weighed less than a pound.
Otter
He tried to steal my Fitbit and lucky for me was attached or it would become his.
Ferrets
YUCK!!!!
The tour was over and time to leave.

We all had a great time and we were at the end of our tour.  The kids were really sad that Dad had to work and missed all the excitement.  We were glad that our friends invited us to tag along with them.  This was better than visiting the zoo.  I had the lemur fur to prove it.

Take Your Kids to Work Day

It was time once again for "Take Your Kids to Work Day" at  SkyWest.  Ryder was really bummed that he couldn't go maybe next year.  The girls were excited to miss school even for part of the day.  They were off and running.

Rylee's Group

Reganne's Group

Serving treats

Face mask demo

All Smiles
They had a lot fun going to the different departments and learning what needs to be done to get flights out each day.

The end came to soon and it was time to take Ryder to school and the work day came to an end for them.  It was back to work for me.

Let's Go Fly a Kite

How long could Dave hold out against Ryder's pleading to go fly his kite.  He made it until after Sunday dinner.  He wouldn't let Dave forget his promise.

We loaded everyone up into the van and headed to school.

Teamwork

Success

It was in the air and flying around.

Brother was also successful and let Rylee try her hand with his.

All of a sudden the wind started gusting and the kites went wild.  Kite flying came to crash landing.  They survived for another day.  Home for a nap it is Sunday of course.

Where Did The Time Go????

Our Young Woman
Wasn't it yesterday when she started Primary and would fall asleep in sacrament meeting so she wouldn't have to go.  Now she runs eagerly out of the class and down the hall to new activities and new friends.

Mutual Night
80's Zumba Night was the activity this week.  Mom what did you wear in the 80's?  She didn't think my response was good enough.  I did get her to do the big hair and the sloppy t-shirt.

She came home hot an sweaty but with a smile on her face.  She had a great time.  Hopefully this is just the beginning of fun times for her in Young Women's.

Sharing Memories

Well so much for getting everyone to bed after a busy day.  Ryder begged Dave to put on the "The Good Ole Boys"  aka The Dukes of Hazzard.  These two have bonded over this silly show.  Before too long the girls wonder in and start watching with them.  Bedtime will have to wait.

Thank goodness CMT has been running the show non-stop for a couple of months.  Last time I check the DVR there were 36 episodes they haven't watched yet.

Visitors....

The big cousins came to visit.  Breeonah had a dance competition here in town so they stopped by for a visit and dinner.  The kids thought they were really cool since they are older and willingly hung out with them.

Full & Happy
Hugs goodbye

Family is where it's at.
We love when family stops by.  Even if it is only for an hour or two we have time to bond as a family and make a few memories.

This has been a full day everyone is fed and happy.  Can we convince them to go to bed??

How Much Did You Read?

We took a short pit stop to charge the camera and eat lunch. We were off to the kite festival.  This was Ryder's first official kite festival that he earned his own kite from reading.  He ran right in and picked his without any problem.

However,

Reganne had to browse first at all the books.
Second at all the kites.
Finally a decision was made.  She picked her kite.

Playing the games.

Who knew that Ryder could throw that hard.

Rylee soon followed and  knocked them over.
Love those eyes.
They got to ride the school bus.

There is still a smile on her face.
The verdict is still out on Dave's.
Now that Ryder has his reward he decided that he was done reading.  It has taken a lot of persuading and a few threats to get him reading again.

We just have to find the right wind to go fly those kites.
