Fall Break

We were headed to the mountains to enjoy a quiet weekend with the Wheelers.  The weather wasn't supposed to be very good, but we weren't going to let it stop us.

Cedar Overlook
The fall colors were amazing.
Trying to keep the brother from getting to close to the edge.
Everywhere we turned it was more breathtaking.
The trees look like they are on fire.
It rained the rest of the weekend.  Mud was all around so instead we watch movies, played card games, video games, and ate yummy food.  It was a relaxing weekend too bad it had to end.  On the drive home it was foggy, drizzly, and slow traffic.

To bad another busy week is pounding on the door.

Away Soccer

After the reunion it was time to head to Mesquite for Reganne's soccer game.  We had time for lunch before the game and it was going to be a warm game.    They were down by 4 players so there wouldn't be many subs this week.

Reganne & Coach Jose
Warming up with the new goalie gloves.
Very intense around the goalie box.
Very disappointed team.
First loss of the season 2-1
The girls were really sad that they didn't pull out the win.  They should be proud of playing their hearts out and doing their very best.

Time to head home and enjoy the rest of the weekend.  The girls have a break with Fall Break next week.

8th Annual NICU Reunion

@ Staheli  Farms and we are one person short this year.  Rylee decided it would be more fun to hang out with friends at the Adventure Dome in Las Vegas we missed her.  Reganne & Ryder were excited to get the fun started.

Check out the skeleton hanging on to the silo to say Hi.

How strong are you???
Dave was the strongest of course.
Life Flight came for a visit.
Corn Maze...Please don't get lost.
We found the flag.
We even found our way out without getting lost.
Pumpkin Patch
Check out the witch's house.
Instead of a pumpkins they came bringing the seeds so we can plant our own patch next year.  This year the crowd grew even larger this year.  Modern medicine is amazing when you look around this group at all the healthy kids running, jumping, and screaming.  We are so grateful for this local team for all their hard work & dedication to caring for our sick kids.

Rylee's Concert

DHMS 1st Quarter Choir Concert was scheduled for the busiest night of our week. Wednesday!!!! It quickly became apparent that it was going to be a divide and conquer night.  Dave headed off to Ryder's football game, Reganne headed off to soccer practice, and I took Rylee to her choir concert.

There were kids everywhere running around excited to see each other but not so excited to perform.

8th & 9th Grade Choirs

8th Grade Choir

They sounded pretty amazing when you realize they have only been singing together for 2 months.  Rylee  hasn't graduated from the front row with this group.  However, she isn't the smallest either.  I love to listen to her sing and perform.

Time to head home Ryder was so excited they won their final game of the regular season.  Playoffs start in two weeks.

Happy 11th Birthday

Reganne has been patiently waiting for her birthday this year.  She had everything planned for her special day or week since we have to spread out the activities.  Friday was treats to school 26 doughnuts for her class.  We had to pick a variety and Reganne was sure her class would love the choices.

Birthday dinner @ Pizza Factory
They are closed on Sunday so Saturday was a must.
Presents
Thanks Grandma JeanAnn for the jungle theme pillow case & runner.
Goalie Gloves
Perfect present for our resident goalie.
Tiger theme again.
It tasted as good as it looked.
She loved it and was sad when we finally ate the tiger.

Making a wish.
It is amazing that she is eleven years old already.  She is so full of life, loves playing soccer, volleyball, and hanging out with her friends.  When they hang out it is usually to play soccer.  We love her so much and are so thankful that she is a party of our family.

As I tucked her into bed that night I asked her if she had had a good birthday.  I was worried because she was really quiet.  She replied it was an awesome day except we had to stay home all day since it was General Conference.  Next year her special day will be on Tuesday.

General Conference Weekend

Reganne begged for birthday day scones for breakfast.  I as game for that what better way to start off conference than with warm yummy scones.  Dave & I decided that the kids are getting old enough to watch more of conference than one talk.

I told them that they needed to be listening where ever they were in the house.  Before too long I looked up and all were in the living room watch, listening, and a little bit of sleeping but osmosis works for me.  At the end each one talked about their favorite part and I was amazed how mush they absorbed.  More amazing was they all ventured back in for the final session.  We all listened to the 3 new apostles share their testimonies.

I love to watch my family grow in the gospel.

A Season Ending Trip

There was a much needed season ending trip to the lake.  First order of business was to test out the boat and make sure everything was working properly.  YEAH!!! everything was running smoothly time to play.

We are off with a plus one.
Rylee's friend Bree was able to join us.
Wow the water is warm
Too bad the air wasn't warmer
Rylee showing off her knee boarding skills.
She does an awesome job and is so determined that she won't give up until her arms won't hold the rope any longer
Ryder giving it his all.
He loved trying and hopefully will keep on working at it next year.
Bree couldn't be left out.
She did awesome for her first time.
Tubing
Reganne & I even took our last spin around the lake.  Dave even got in one last spin with the knee board.

We all loved the morning trip with the perfect water.  However, we were all freezing and were begging for the heater on our way home.  Fall in Southern Utah requires constant change in the weather.  You must be prepared at all times.  Freezing in the morning and sweating in the afternoon.

Waters Sports Update

Football Wednesday was in full swing with the Cowboys eager to get the game started.  Ryder was eager to start rushing and getting those flags.  There haven't been any easy wins this year instead a lot of hard work is required.  They played their hearts out but in the final minutes the other team scored a touchdown and won the game.

The boys kept on running around and tossing the ball between them.  It was great to see that they could all still have fun after a tough game.

Get those flags

Where are they???

Saturday afternoon the soccer whistle blew time to play.  It was only 75 degrees but we were the opposite side directly into the sun.  Guess who will bring a nice little sunburn.

Rage was eager to play too bad the referee kept getting in the way.  Reganne brought him to his knees with one kick of the ball.  I don't think he was moving too well afterwards either.  He had the war wounds to prove it.

Dig his moves.
He wouldn't move out of the middle so he got hit by the ball more than once.
Deflated ball equals a flying ball.
Reganne's kicks were going way further than before.  They pulled out the win with a score of 2-1.  When will the heat turn down a bit? Maybe next week?

Full Bood Moon

The kids were so excited to see the Blood Moon / Eclipse while they were still awake.  After hearing reports that it was going to be the end of the world as well they were eager to document the whole event.

Reganne & Ryder wanted to take pictures so they could remember what it looked like.  After much debating on how to take to do it Reganne started snapping away.  Ryder followed suite on his Kindle.  Eagerly showing of his picture he had added a few graphics to make it better.

Ryder wanted to know what the end of the world looked like.  We will have to wait and see since everything remained the same around us.

It's Great To Be Eight

The end of a busy week couldn't be better Ryder's Baptism.  We traveled to Stansbury Park to share the day with Rachel.

He looks like he could conquer the world.
Of course he will.
Father & Son
Cousins sharing their special day with each other.
Family & Friends
All dressed up and time to party.
He loved the football scripture case
but what goes inside?  Scriptures with his name on the front.
How did they know my name?
Grandma JeanAnn hit the jackpot with this shirt.
Just like Jaxson has.
What are these crazy boys doing in the corner?
Being sports casters while watching
cousins play football.

It was a great weekend full of family, friends, and special moments. Witnessing these two kids make the choice to be baptized makes us so proud.  We hope they continue to make right choices and remember that the Holy Ghost is now their constant companion.  If they listen closely he will keep them safe.

Funny side note I assumed it was Fast Sunday since we had stake baptisms this weekend. After fasting all morning we went to Sacrament Meeting and Surprise!!! Fast Sunday will be the week after conference.  Oops!!!!

A New Chapter

Turning eight years old an new chapter starts for this little boy.  He officially became a Cub Scout he still is not sure what its all about but he is sure he likes it.  Pack meeting was this week and Wolf Den was eager to welcome him by having him help with the flag ceremony.  However, he wasn't really sure what to do so he tagged along with his hands in his pockets and watched.

Pack activity
They were learning the Scout Oath.
His team won.

A true cubbie
Love those refreshments
Take a bite and grab another treat.
He had a lot of fun and is eager to earn his Bobcat.  This is the first of many pack meetings we will be attending.  I think I want the car seat back.

Busy Sports Week

Monday was the rain makeup game or the game that never ends.  The cowboys were up by 7 at the start but they quickly scored.  The quarter ended with a tied score.  There was enough time to continue play so overtime began.  Another tie and another overtime.  They scored in the final minute and won the game.  The cowboys were pooped and a little discourage but that only lasted about 30 seconds they were off and running again.

Game number two of the week and the boys were eager to play.  We were playing the Steelers again and this time they were ready.  Ryder has been practicing his rushing and scored a couple of flags.  He was pumped and could hardly stand still while waiting his turn to back into the game.

Once again in the final seconds the Steelers scored and won the game.  I am not sure who was upset more the boys or the dads.  Hands down the dads.  The boys kept throwing the ball to each other and talking about each play.  My advise to them was to learn how to play your best and had fun while doing it.  Ryder agreed and went back to chattering about the game.
