What Is He Planning?

Not sure how I ended up with these pictures.  I started questioning what Ruston is planning or rather what new daring adventure has caught his eye.  The next question that popped into my mind was will he survive?

The new adventure is paragliding.

What is in the box?

Is it a parachute or sail?
I know nothing about this extreme sport.

What the heck?
Not sure what his plan is but
I do know he can't make it out the door with this on.

The wedding is a month away and I am wondering if he will survive to the big day.  There are rumors that he wants to fit this into the ceremony someway.  I do believe that they had better purchase some life insurance on him since he loves extreme sports.

Stayed tune to more adventures with Ruston.

Welcome to Short Course Season

Long course season ended in July with a sigh of relief.  The orders went out that no swimming for 2 weeks.  Stay out of the water and do other teenager stuff.  The kids tried really hard and only slipped a couple of times.  Thank goodness school started around the same time.  They were able to focus on school instead of water.

September 1st brought the Black, Blue, and White Inter Team Meet....Mix up the groups to create 3 teams.

Back on deck
Energy in the air.

Older kids as the team captains
Team cheers!

Warming Up

It was fun to be back on deck after taking the summer off for the new job.  The kids were amped up and swam their hearts out.  Then came the final events relays.  The noise was extremely loud.

Waiting for the final results of which team won... We are still waiting for those results.  My take is the scores came in really close maybe too close to call.  Energy was high what a great way to kickoff the new season.  Good luck to everyone.

Brief Glance of the Craziness

That is our lives!!  There is so much swirling around our family this month and it's only going to increase.

Class changes?
Ryder decided no band this year.
When he decides something it is hard to change his mind.
This one I didn't argue since he didn't want to practice or even bring his trombone home with him.
Let's see what adventures he tries now.

Waiting in line @ Walmart
I hate self checkout!!
Their lines are crazy it maybe time for pickup.

Raiders Stadium
It looks cool from this angle
Too bad the crowds were crazy the closer we got.

Bridal shower
It's getting closer this whole wedding thing.

Family fun dinner
Homemade pizzas and garlic bread.
I need to really perfect the crust.

Tarantula ALERT!!
Not sure where this guy came from?
He definitely needs to go back.
I think Rylee & Ruston brought him home from their recent camping trip.

Love this picture
Rylee is wanting to get her bridals done here.
It is a long drive to Cathedral Canyon.

Not sure where this picture came from.
It appeared on my phone one afternoon.

It's official
Rylee got her name placket at SkyWest.

Trouble!!
The 3 dogs are going to drive me crazy with the messes they make.
They must be board with all the coupons they shredded.
I will gladly sell them most days to the first person who would take them.
All sales final!!

I need to buckle up for September it's not going to slow down for anyone or anything.

Extra Money

Anyone that knows Ryder very will knows that he always on the lookout to make money.  Last year after turning 14 he found out that local businesses where hiring and paying very well.  BON sent out an email on a Friday afternoon looking for volunteers to help out in shipping.  Ryder immediately volunteered, one small hiccup you need to be 16.  He was devastated.  He quickly rebounded making me promise that if the age ever changed I would sign him up.

Two weeks later we get another email asking for volunteers for the weekends to help get caught up on backorders.  This request was for 13 years old & up with parental supervision.  Also, willing to pay $20 per hour with lunch included.  Guess who reminded me of my promise?  I signed us up for  Saturday morning working from 9 to 5 in Hildale.

Packaging product
Making boxes for product
Sealing the product

Taking a quick break

2nd weekend
Lunch time...Subway
Dave & Reganne came along.

It was exhausting work but fun to get to know other employees taking advantage of the opportunity.  Reganne absolutely hated it and declared she would never do that type of work again.  Dave, Ryder, and I worked hard and had a little fun along the way.  It was a great experience learning about another area.  They work so hard and accomplish so much.  Ryder smelled the money and put in the hard work to complete the tasks we were assigned.

In A Snap!

A quick glance at the busy couple of weeks...

Small rental car
We finally received a rental car to use until they determine
what will happen to the cruiser.

Sunday afternoon
a fight to see who can be petted or scratched.

Maybe the DI is cursed.
We headed off to finally get rid of the stuff.
Once again side tracked with the trailer coming loose
and ending up rolling down towards the ditch.
We reattached, reloaded and got rid of the donations once and for all.

Dave is a pirate instead of a pirate
a puppy on his shoulder.
This is her favorite spot to sit and perch.
Don't get her excited. Dave gets wet.

Some game day swag
The kids weren't impressed.

Love the quick snaps and the brief glimpse into the craziness that is us.

Let's Have Some Fun

Dave received tickets to a preseason Raiders football game in Las Vegas from work.  All we needed to do was make sure everyone was covered for the day.  We headed out bright and early it has been too many years since our last pro football game.

Walking to the stadium
We found parking and then had to find our way to the stadium.
$50 to buy a see through purse.  Instead I filled my pockets and threw away my smaller (not small enough) one.

WOW!!
It was crazy to walk inside and see the field.

Even crazier to find our seats.
Intermountain's box seats were amazing.

Pick your food

The shrimp and the peanut butter mouse
are pretty good.
The nachos not so much.

Loved the large flag
with Wayne Newton singing the National Anthem

Live music
&
Olympic like torch all lite up.

Largest blonde brownie
We also found the candy, ice cream, and popcorn.
That is what I call football food.

Raiders won!!
Now the long hike back to the car

The traffic was slow moving and
what should have taken and hour dragged out to 2 1/2 trip.

Amazing rainbow!!

It was a fun day and an amazing adventure.  The stadium was a cross between a football game and a concert.  It was loud, crazy, and full of energy.  It was fun to have an adventure with just the two of us.  I did feel a little guilty with out them but it only lasted a minute or two.

2022 - 2023 School Year Begins

The big day finally arrived with moans, groans, and maybe even gnashing of teeth.  Waking up early for Ryder wasn't going to be a problem.  Reganne on the other hand was going to need a lot of nudging to get her out the door.  Lucky for her that the first day Seniors don't have to be to school until 1:00.

9th Grader / Freshman
Desert Hills Middle School
Start time 8:25 a.m.

12th Grade / Senior
Desert Hills High School
Start time 1:00 p.m.

This is Reganne's big year!! I know it's hopeless to want time to slow down instead we need to enjoy this time together as a family.  Let's buckle up, hang on, and enjoy this crazy time.  Graduation will be here before we know it.

Good Luck to both kids on a successful year.

It's Time Again

Summer flew by and it's now time for the new school year to start.  First off you need back to school night.  The one night a year that you can roam around the school without checking in first with the office.  Ryder was eager to check out his schedule. NOT!!  He did meet up with a few friends which made a little more fun.

Checking out his locker
Hopefully, it will be easier to open after a few days of practice.

A little friendly harassment
or peer pressure!!
Who can open their's first.

Class Change Notice
He has few changes that need to be made.
He is finished with Band.

There are still a couple of days of freedom left before school starts.  Ryder definitely has plans to enjoy those last couple of days.

Jumping Out of July

This has been a busy month and I am exhausted.  Taking a look back I am glad we survived and are moving onto August.

COVID shopping
Rylee & Ruston home sick with COVID send me their shopping list
of things they need.

Act like you like each other.
Good to see them having fun even with all the stress.

Look close
It's water falling from the sky.
AKA..Rain

Thanks!! Mom
She noticed that I was missing a table scarf.
Love this one with all the flags.

Dogs wrestling
and growling at each other.
Dexter hates when they play and he barks.
The noise level can be overwhelming.

Seegmiller Farms + Indy
Checking on the wedding venue
and making plans.

Invitations have arrived.
It is getting closer.

Her ring looks great with that manicure.

We made memories, messes, and even met new people.  July has been exhausting as well as exciting with everything we did from the 4th of July events, swim meets, and just plain sitting at home watching movies.
