The Cowboys vs The Chargers

The week the games were starting 15 minutes earlier.  I walked in the door and Ryder greeted me with what time does the game start, will I be late, and what time does practice start?  This was all said in one breath.  I shouted to everyone to get in the car and we were off.  No time for food or a bathroom break we were on a made dash to the game.

We arrived just in time to practice and the game started....

Run!!!!

Hike!!!!

And the Fake

TOUCHDOWN!!!!!
Grinning from ear to ear it took him a minute to realize he really did score.  They won the game and earned a piece of pie for Free Pie Night at Village Inn.

Let's hope he sleeps tonight with all of the birthday excitement coming his way.

Rodeo Time

Rodeo week snuck up on me and with all the craziness during the week we didn't make it to the actual rodeo.  Instead we went to the parade to score the candy they always throw by the handfuls.  The weather hadn't cooled off any but we braved the heat for candy.

Waiting patiently
Check out the horse with pants.  Remember him from last year?

We know that boy!!! It's Dacoda
Crimson View Elementary

We are hot, sweaty, and very thirsty.  Let's eat!!!!!  It was a great day full of family togetherness.  We even survived that.

Soccer Season Begins....

The Gecko's vs the Teal Dragons and the girls were anxious to play since they had a bye last week.  The day was sunny + no shade = a very hot day.

Supporting their team.

Go Reganne...

Get that ball....

Teamwork
The skill of these girls is pretty amazing and with the directions from the coaches it will be a successful season.  Reganne is very excited to play on an all girl team and even better with girls from her class.

It was time for lunch and Reganne picked pizza.

We Are Ready For Football...

It was time for another football game and the boys were more than ready to get it started.  Tonight they were playing the Forty Niners.  They have practiced so hard this week and it was showing.

Doing the splits?
This will help me run faster.

Hike the ball and fake a play.

Good play and they scored the extra point.
It was a great game but the lost by a point.  That didn't matter to them they were all smiles.  All the way home all Ryder talked about was how much fun he had and he loved playing the rover.  The second question was when is the next practice?

Another New Skill

In a matter of days Ryder jumped into riding his bike.  This little boy has a quick mind that is always working.  His logic is if he learns to ride his bike then he won't have to walk home from school anymore.

I love his logic however, he forgot a minor detail.  Reganne also needs to be able to ride her bike. She hasn't ever been excited to try.   Thank goodness for Dad being persistent she was riding again in a couple of days.

New skill

YEAH!!!! I can do it!!!

Practicing
We made a deal with Ryder if he practiced every day he would be able to ride to school after his birthday.  He has worked really hard and can't wait until Monday and his first official bike ride.  Reganne has been a little slower and doesn't want to ride yet so she will be riding her scooter.

A major plus this has been good exercise for all of us to ride 3-5 miles each night.

Can we keep it up until the cold weather sets in?

New Skills

Ryder is his father's son all the way.  Just like Dave when he finds something he wants to try it is all he wants to do.  This week has been full of this bundle of energy trying new things.  A couple of weeks ago it was catching a football.  Every night he would drag Dad outside to practice.  Reganne even got into the game.

This week the first new skill has been.......

Jump Rope

Watch me!!!!!

Are you watching????
His excitement is catchy but very tiring.  What skill will be next?  Will he survive it?

Ready For Some Football....

We had to be ready tonight Ryder had a doubleheader starting at 6.  We were off and running and it never stopped.  First game against the Giants.

Cowboys & Giants

Who stole my camera????
More selfies.

Go!!!!
Good thing she also took a few pictures.

Hike!!!!

Cowboys vs Raiders

They are still going.

Get those flags.

We are pooped.
Ryder scored another touchdown tonight.  He was so zoned into the game that he refused to talk to anyone.  He loves the game and can't wait until next week to play again.

He slept wonderfully and that is a great thing.

Happy Labor Day!!!

We have labored long and hard this past week with school & work.  We were all ready to play.  Just add the Waters to the water and fun is sure to happen.

Smiles is a good sign.
Smiles even though the water is still really chilly.

WOW!!! That was cold.

Time for the Gladiator

Oops where did the smiles go?
The ride was over.

Who is that in the middle??
Me!!!
Trying to overcome my fear and it wasn't too bad.

Solo flight

Dad is ready for business.

Time for teaching.
Each one wants to learn.

It was a great morning to be out on the lake.  However, you can tell by the water when it's 12 o'clock straight up.  The waves start and there are so many boats on the lake it was time to leave.  Let's leave and finish out this last holiday of the summer relaxing.

The Triplets Baptism

What an awesome weekend we were going to have with family at Jaxson, Joshua, and Gracie's baptism here in Utah.  We had planned to go when they still lived in Michigan and even marked the date on our calendar.  However, with any plans things can change and they did.  They moved to Stansbury Park and we had an easier time getting there.

It was a great day....

Gracie, Jaxson, Joshua

+ Dad
Love those smiles.

Joshua playing basketball.
He waited patiently for the older boys to finish so he could practice all by himself.
Aunt Lori has a sneaky camera and capture his intense concentration.

Reganne & Morgan
Cousins + Friends
What are they planning??

Yummy food and stories from Owen.

Saying Goodbye

Or rather see ya soon.  The kids have been trying to plan more visits so leaving wouldn't be so hard. What's up for the next visit???

A New Sport

FOOTBALL!!!!  or rather flag football season has started.  Ryder decided he wanted to try football instead of soccer this fall.  He is getting to play with boys from his kindergarten class last year.  The coach has more patience than me but the boys really listen, respond to him as well as follow his every direction.

First game everyone was anxious to play and have fun.

Give me that flag.

Get back here!!!

Guess who is taking selfies again??

Get the ball or flag which ever on is closer.

YEAH!!!!
The Jealous Cowboys won the game.
I must be slipping my son doesn't know his football teams.  He plays for the Jealous Cowboys and next week they play the Vaiders.  A little education maybe in store for him.

Village Inn "Free" Pie Night
We must have a sweet treat to end a great night of football.  Ryder scored a touchdown and loved every part of the game.  One minor problem he kept pulling everyone's flags as they ran by.  Minor things to work on.  He informed us on the way home that he loves football and doesn't want to play soccer it's not as much fun.

We will see how he feels at the end of the season.
