Soccer Saturday...

It was going to be a long soccer Saturday.  The Premier Team's play time was 8:30 with an 8:00 warm up.  Reganne was set to play Keeper and was ready to get busy.  The girls are starting to accept her and help her out.

Keeper on duty

Defenders doing their jobs as well.

The second game and she was ready to start moving.  However, it was delayed due to the another game still being played.  This one was rather intense with parents yelling or rather screaming at the Refs and at each other.  This was going to be a first watching the refs eject parents from the game. They finally calmed down and finished out the game.

Time to play a new position of defender.  She stepped up and played ran her legs off.

Getting down to business.

This boy is a good sport and hanging with Mom for
all the games.

Wicked kick

Snack Time
These girls were tired and needed energy.  They devoured whatever they could find in the cooler.  I filled it with oranges, cheese sticks, yogurt, and bananas.  All that was left was the bananas I guess not a hit this week.

The whistle blew and the game was back on.  Reganne took over as Keeper and got down to business.  It wasn't going to be their day and we lost 5 to 1.  Reganne had 21 attempts and gave up 4 goals.  They were bummed but had tried their hardest with only 1 sub helping out.

Time to get busy at home and enjoy the rest of the weekend.  Reganne needed a few days to recoop after the many bruises on her legs.

Next week another double header in Enoch.

Happy Belated Birthday

The joys of turning 50 was volunteering to have a colonoscopy.  When they handed me this lovely jug of powder I though how bad could it be.  Little did I know how bad it could be.  I even added lemonade powder to make it taste better.  I hate drinking Gatorade, Power Aid, or any sports drink for that matter.  The taste was awful and the aftermath was even worse.

Bright and early I started drinking the other half.  I succeed about the same time I was supposed to stop eating or drinking.  Now it was time to wait.

The magic hour arrived and we were on our way.  They gave me some sleepy medicine and I was out.  I woke up with the nurse telling me that everything went great and come back in 10 years.

I was starving and wanted lunch.  It felt great to have this behind me.  Time to relax and enjoy the rest of the day.

Now it is Dave's turn and he even made his own appointment.

Let the weekend begin.

Labor Free Day Part 2

Waking up early was to be expected since we went to bed so early.  We headed home for breakfast and maybe a lake trip.  Rylee didn't want to go but sleep instead so Dacoda came in along.  It was already after 9:00 so there were a lot of boats already out so this may prove tricky to have fun.

We made on the water

Into the water

And into the tube.

Reganne being the boss
and telling them to get out and back into the water.
Sunbathing not only for girls.
Ryder stretching out  to catch some rays.
Not 5 minutes later Dave threw him overboard for whining.
It was way too busy to do much playing and the kids weren't really appreciative of all the waves.  It was time to leave or head to the beach.

Yeah!!! the beach

Trying to drown each other or playing
I wasn't too sure which.
Got them to stop and pose.
We made it home in one piece and without anyone catching swimmer's itch. We were ready for lunch. Everyone was wanted Texas Roadhouse but we were surprised to see they didn't open until 3 even on the holiday.  Everyone settled for Chuck A Rama and everyone was soon filled up.

Time to get ready for the long week ahead of us.  It was a fun weekend and we hope that there will be a few more boating & camping trips before it gets to cold.  The boat ran pretty good and it seems to be fixed.

Labor Free Weekend

Labor Day weekend started out really slow Dave & Rylee had to work on Saturday so we cleaned the house.  Reganne & Ryder didn't think this was a good trade off.  We promised them that we would have fun later.  Sunday after church, lunch, and naps we headed out to hopefully find a camping spot.

Cedar Pocket
There was plenty of spots available.
We just have to pick one out.
Guess who else came along?
Dexter & Ginger
I want to go!!!!
Her tether wasn't long enough to get into too much trouble.

Using their imagination
Flip the Bottle
How sharp are the needles?
Will they hurt?
Eating chips and giving me a salty stare.
No wifi or phone signal.
Untangling the dogs.
This became a game to them.
Card games a must.
Playing Slap Jack...Watch your hands when you play with Dad.
Phase Ten came next but only for a few hands.
Dave & the kids built this fire together.
Roasting marshmallows is hard work.
Dave relaxing by the fire
and making more marshmallows.
Yummy smores
Oops the chocolate sat out too long it was a melty mess.
It sure was good.
In our hurry to leave and enjoy the outdoors.  We forgot to test the house battery and it was dead.  As soon as the sun began to set so did our fun.  Everyone was in bed before 10 and all was quiet.  Until the cars started pulling in looking for a spot to camp for the night.  Our trusty guard dogs set off the alarms.  We found the both sitting in the front seats barking at everyone that passed by.  Quick thinking and moving stuff around everyone soon calmed down and fell asleep.
