Decision Has Been Made

Ryder is getting Invisalign Braces. We have had many discussions about the process, the care, and definitely the pain. Finally, the cost involved and consequences if he changes his mind. We are off to Simister Orthodontics for our third round.

He is smiling now

Listening to the assistants.
There is a faint smile.

Building the molds

Amazing!!
Full recreation of his mouth.
They send these to Invisalign with the treatment plan.
6-9 weeks the trays will arrive.

Check out the Virgin River
It's running really high and quick.
Waiting for our lunch at the local food truck.

Yummy Corn Dogs
from the Corn Dog Food Truck
They are parked daily by Maverick.
They have a smaller size and it to is drizzled with honey.

That was on busy lunch hour. Let's hope that the trays come soon before he changes his mind.

Girls Paint Night

Rylee loves to plan parties not matter the occasion. This time it a Girls Paint Night in the backyard. Everyone is banned from the basement and backyard. Indy is lucky if she sneaks out just to check out the event. I stole these pictures of party prep since I was so impressed at how she does it.

A must picture
of all their pictures and fun dresses.

Love her presentation
of the snacks.

Each place setup with
perfection in mind.

Another angle
It looks to nice to mess it up with a little paint.
That is exactly why she doesn't invite me.

Love the dresses and smiles

They all look like they had a great time. Not sure when the next one is planned.  Hopefully, before the heat sets in. If not it will be after August. Predictions say it's going to be a HOT summer.

Oops!! she might plan the perfect party. She doesn't do clean up very well. I may need to charge her a clean up deposit next time.

Weather Station

I find weather fascinating. It is always changing and no matter how many people try to tell us what is going to happen it always turns out different.  It also changes hour by hour.  I love having a weather station just as much.  Ours hasn't been working for a couple of months. We have been waiting for a sunny day to check it out.

It took some convincing to get Ryder & Dave
to check it out.

Ryder doing the climbing

Dave checking out
the actual station.

It's in place
It's working!!

It was great to work together and have fun at the same time. I am excited to see how it works over the summer. We have had a little over 8 inches of rain that doesn't show in the year to day totals. Let's get settled in to watch the crazy weather for the rest of the year.

Another Crazy Week in April

Wasn't it just last week we had a snow storm? The only thing that is consistent in St George is changing weather.

My car is turning green!!
There is so much pollen in the air that everything has a green sheen to it.
Don't try using your windshield wipers to remove it. They only smear all over the windshield.

Taxes due date.
This picture was my proof for Ryder that they are in the mail.

Early morning test
Let's stop for a quick breakfast. Ryder definitely needs brain food.
Kolaches from the Dugout. One mistake I should have ordered the small ones.
We are both stuffed.
Ryder got an A on his test. This maybe a tradition to start.

Watch out!
Things maybe closer than they look in the picture.
I looked up from my computer and jumped.
This balloon was so close you could almost touch it.
Back to work once my heart stops pounding.

Senior Pictures
Blake talked her into just taking a few.
I love her spunky attitude.

Quenchit & Cookies
This cookie run was without Reganne but Grandma volunteered for the job.
I saw yummy Raspberry Lemonade cookie on Facebook.
Off we went and got the drink of the month Blue Raspberry flavored water, Diet Coke, and not the cookie of the month since they ran out. Instead Chocolate Chip  & S'more.
Beware of packaged cookies...no taste and my drink was truly just blue water.
Onto the next shop.

Visiting MacPhersons
Rachel came down for a dance competition.
She is so fun to watch.
I love these quick visits and hanging with family.

We had a great week full of different activities. Anyone else notice there is not a pool picture this week. It's also great to smell fresh air and not chlorine on the weekends. Mind you not too many weekends or we will all dry up and fly away.

It's Time to Upgrade

We have never lived in a home long enough to replace the heater & AC in. We have been limping along with the old worn out AC for over 5 years. The time has come to finally replace the system with new stuff. After all the old system has made it to 20 years. That's 8 more than they normally see in Southern Utah. Buckle up and hang on for the ride. These things never go smoothly for us.

WOW!!
The old stuff was dismantled by noon.

The pad was nice and clean.
Ready for the new stuff.

The basement looks a little bare
with the furnace gone as well.

5 o'clock arrives and they are quite finished. We will be back tomorrow morning to finish the install. Ok? The weather is warm enough so no heater needed. Cool enough to not need the A/C. We can survive until tomorrow.

WRONG!!! we forgot that without the furnace hooked up there is also no natural gas. No natural gas equals no hot water. I definitely hate taking cold showers. I am keeping my fingers crossed that this all gets resolved tomorrow.

Another Crazy Week

Another crazy week with just a few pictures to share not for symphony. Instead maybe a few laughs at what is never ending in a house full of young adults and dogs.

Triple Trouble
Nothing like coming home to water everywhere, dog dishes not where I left them.
Last but not least 3 wet dogs.
Not looking guilty instead begging for a walk.

Piper's turn at the vet.
All she wanted was to be let out.
Asked the vet on what breed she could possibly be.
Not a Husky, maybe a terrier with her fur type.

Dave found this picture on line.
We have all concluded that she is a straight hair Labradoodle.
We could confirm for only $200 for a DNA test on Amazon.
Nope!! we are good.

Ryder's new job
Grease Monkey working for Rustin.

Car show w/Dave

Cars & Coffee
Outside in the fresh air.

I liked this car

We love family visits.
Mike & Sarah on their way through town.
It was great to catch up and enjoy breakfast at Bishops

Group picture
Thanks to the 2 ladies walking out at the same time. They offered to take a couple for us.
They were hilarious. I wish I could remember their stories.
The story about an older woman volunteering to take a picture of their family.
She promptly gave instructions on the best angles. I can't remember
the funny ending but we were all doubled over laughing.

We love when family comes through town. We won't demand all your time but would love a hi and maybe go out for food while you relax. Keep that in mind we are like a Motel 6 we leave the lights on for you. Hopefully, a clean bathroom for a potty break. I can't alway guarantee the  last one due to teenagers arguing who's mess it is. We will always greet you with a smile and a hug.

Week in Review

Check out a few mini stories this week.

Look Mom!!
My cap & gown arrived.
Misty eyes quickly appeared. I'm not sure that we are ready for our
second high school graduate.

Braces?
It's finally this boy's turn in the hot seat.
Verdict Invisalign for better & quicker results.

They love Dave
These two are always happy to see Dave sitting in his chair.
Today they wouldn't leave him alone.

Easter Sunday Breakfast
Please make Monkey Bread for breakfast.
Oops!! this was not the recipe he had in mind.
He wanted the easier ones out of Grand Biscuits.

A few Easter surprises.
The dogs received 3 new gnomes
How long will they survive?

It was a busy week shuttling Ryder to his many commitments. Easter came really fast when you aren't planning to attend multiple activities. Who knows what is in store this week.

Weird Weather Continues

The weather continues to really cold and wet. All you hear about on the news is when the snow starts to melt watch out for flooding. Wasn't it only 6 months ago the lead story each night was the awful drought. Then it quickly changed to record breaking snow totals. It has been rather nice to have the cooler weather every morning.

Surprise!!
More snow in St George
I know it's not like the snow up North or even in other snowy areas.
It's still really strange to have snow in April in any form.

Not snowflakes
instead tiny snow pellets. Are falling all around.

Springeville
Grandma JeanAnn has to show us up with all of her snow.

The older I get the more fascinated I get with the weather. I love how unpredictable it is. If you are patient it changes by the minute here in Utah. We live in the desert where is should remain hot, dry, and dusty. Instead it can be chilly, windy, and snowy. Maybe I should have studied meteorology.

Stay tuned to more weird weather coming right up.

April Here We Come

School is back in session for the final quarter of the school year. Short course season is over and long course is a couple of weeks away. The craziness continues, I have the pictures to show for it.

Dead Gnome
Our house is where gnomes come to die. For some reason
Indy & Piper destroy them

Hello Fresh
Rylee shared a couple of her meals she had left.
This one was pretty easy to put together with Dave's help.

Happy Birthday!!
Rylee is 21 and now legal
Love how her co-workers decorated and made her day special.

Paris fell apart
Next up Hawaii, the beach looks wonderful.

Miss Indy got stuck at home.
She doesn't crash very often. Today, just happened to be on my legs.

Brownie Bread
A yummy, ooey, gooey, chocolatey treat.
I could definitely make this again.
Served warm with ice cream  is heaven.

Who knows what the next week will bring. Let's hope a few more yummy treats and a couple of good naps.
