These kids did an amazing job.  2 1/2 weeks of rehearsal they had memorized their lines, songs, and dances.  The performed for a crowd of about 75 people.  Reganne & Ryder were fascinated by her performance and were so proud of her.

One more performance to go and camp is over.

Cousin Fun

We are having such a great summer and more fun was to come this week.  First was a lot of craziness with 8 kids, 4 dogs, and hot temperatures.  Emily, Morgan, Jaxson, Joshua, Gracie, Rachel, and Grandma came for a visit along with Maggie & Daphne.  The noise reached levels that could drive anyone crazy but the smiles could not be beat.

One activity that was a must to beat the high temperatures was a visit to the Rec Center to swim.

Morgan & Reganne sharing secrets.

Joshua & Reganne
What are they up too?

Joshua & Morgan
What's up?

Time to go
They don't look very happy about leaving.
Soon hunger took over before we made it home.  Time to eat and then bed time???  Not so fast the downside to all the kids is nobody wants to be the first one to bed.

It was a crazy, noisy, and fun week.  I love seeing all these kids together.  They haven't spent a lot of time together over the years but cousins can become fast forever friends.  We look forward to spending more time with them now that we are closer.

4th Annual W & W Campout

Town has been heating up which makes this a perfect weekend to head for the mountains to camp.  The Dads headed out earlier to get everything setup with all the kids.  The Mom's assignment to bring the food.  Everyone ran to greet us or rather the food they were hungry.

Someone stole my phone.

FOOD!!!!!

New camp fashions

My tour guide

Smelling the trees??

What does it smell like?
Vanilla or Butterscotch?  There was a sign telling you to smell the trees for a sweet smell.  This is part of their protection against forest fires.  It smelled like my favorite......Butterscotch.  I was now craving it.

Another hike to show me how he could cross the rocks.
I loved this picture with his reflection in the water.
Sometime I amaze myself with how good the picture turns out.

It's COLD!!!
He is holding his shorts up since one of his hikes earlier they got all wet.

Relaxing......
What do we do next?  We are bored??
Sending them to the wilderness presentation...How to survive in the wilderness.

What are you roasting???

PEEPS!!!!
Someone (Me) forgot the marshmallows.
Who knew that these would taste so yummy?  Hard and crunchy on the outside.  Hot & Gooey on the inside.
A perfect treat.  I will save some from Easter for  camping.

Campfire
Everyone loved sitting around the fire, adding wood, and telling silly stories about school lunch.

Time for bed!!!!  Another successful W&W Camp out until next year.

Hogle Zoo Trip

Rylee's time away from home was coming to an end.  How better the celebrate than spending the afternoon at the zoo.  YEAH!!!! the new area was opening so it was time to ride the train.

Having fun yet??

All I see is an ostrich?
Where are all the animals?  Well, the giraffe's were scared of their new home and refused to enter.

Cute kids with large giraffe legs.

What's new?  A splash pad in the middle.

My baby eagletts

These were the only tigers Reganne got to see.

Queen of the Zoo

Water fight!!!!!

Lion Fountain!!!!
We are so glad they kept this it brings back so many memories.
Not to mention the nasty water.

My bright idea that the animals would be more playful in the afternoon was a failure.  They were still asleep.  Maybe the trick is going when it is cooler.  Time for us to cool off with a treat of frozen yogurt.

We love spending time with time with family time to head to grandma's house and rest.

Happy 4th of July!!!

Fireworks or no fireworks that was the question of the day.  After a barbecue of corn on the cob, tin foil potatoes, hot dogs, bacon & cheese patties, and a yummy red white & blue dessert.  We had to answer the question once and for all.  We headed to the old airport.  Oops this was a popular spot this year it was hard to find a space to park.

What a view.

Getting the chairs setup in the weeds.

Waiting with glow sticks.

Glow stick fashions.

Ten o'clock sharp the show started in stereo.  The city set of fireworks in 3 locations this year and we could see all of them.  One spot being the old tarmac right behind us.  It was an awesome show.

Time to head home, but there were so many cars packed into the area with only one way out.  We sat there for another hour.  Thank goodness for movies in my van.

Family Time

The theme of this summer is change.  Rylee has begged for years to spend time with Randy & Janelle for an extended period.  It became a reality this year she was going to spend 2 weeks with them in their new house.  The added bonus Ryan, Emily, and kids moving back to Utah.  We all met up for lunch and some fun time.

The long table for lunch at Red Robin.

Coloring and deciding what to eat.

Park Time

Rylee rolling down the hill.

Dave teasing the kids.

Getting tired?

Perfect ending to the day.
ICE CREAM!!!!!
Everyone was full and tired.  It was time to head home and to leave Rylee.  There were a few tears as we pulled out of the parking lot leaving Rylee in the care of Randy & Janelle and those were from Dave.  She was all smiles.

Happy Father's Day

Father's Day snuck up on us this year.  What to get the man who has everything he wants or thinks he wants?

The kids had plans.

Could they surprise Dad?

Cards from the heart and money.
What more could a man ask for???

A new transmission for the Nova.  We might as well give him what he truly will use.  He even had a smile on his face no new ties.
