Water's Sport Update...

Things are slowing down here at Water's Sports Center.  We are down to just volleyball practices to make and games to attend.  This week instead of boy scouts filling the rec center there were Christmas Carols playing and a boutique going in the other gym.  Everyone was quietly sneaking in to get a peak or grab at treat.

There were games to be played.  The Country Bears came to play and have fun this week.  A much improvement over last week.   They even one a game.

Reganne, practicing her service and a full body serve was what appeared.

The Hall of Famers were soon ready to play.  They were ready with the special magic that Kennedy brings to the game makes the difference.

Won one and lost one... I tried to find smiles but they were all tired and ready to leave.

Not my crew they were ready for a treat from the Christmas Boutique.  The Sweet Tooth Fairy Bakery had yummy cookies that we eagerly ate.  Oops we forgot all about lunch.  Who says we can't have dessert before????

Breaking News.....

There were Zombies spotted at SRIS student assembly.  The Advanced Theater Class & Band Class presented Zombie Thriller to start the assembly.  Thank goodness Rylee reminded about this performance and I able to sneak in at lunch.  The kids all worked really hard to scare everyone.

Scary makeup

They did an awesome job and we can't wait for their Christmas program.

School Projects & Treats

Rylee has brought home some amazing cupcakes the past couple of weeks that she has made in Thunderbolt Time.  There should be a couple more but little brother ate or licked them before I could snap picture.  Ryder thought they tasted awesome and can't wait until she brings home more.

The Flower

The Mummu

Ryder's Halloween Witch
To big to keep but to cute to forget.  He is very creative and loves making these projects.  What will they bring home this week???

Water's Sports Center Update.....

This week starts off with volleyball games at 9:00 this week we brought Dad along for the fun.  He was on camera duty from the upstairs track.

Get ready and let's play!!!!!!

Team cheer????
These girls look like they are having so much fun playing together.
We won our first game and a few smiles appeared.  I sure wish the more knowledgeable parents would help out or at least let their kids have fun.

On the other hand the Hall of Famers were having a great time and both games had to play a third set to determine a winner.  We won one and those smiles were the brightest I have seen for a while at the rec center.  Maybe next week will be better.

We were off on a mad dash to the college encampment for the last soccer game of the season.  What a difference 7 days makes the weather was awesome.

Goalie again.
Too boring this week she wants more action.
Rover is the position for her today.
YEAH!!!! She score a goal and assisted on another.
Team cheer
Last one of the season.  They were all smiles, screams. and eagerly asking if they can play together in the spring.  Please come back everyone.

I love kids sports and watching each one grow and develop.  The best part are all the smiles as you head home.

What will next week bring????  We are slowing down with only 4 volleyball games on Saturday.  What to do with all our free time?

Waters Sports Center Update .....

In this issue we will answer the burning questions from last week.

First up was the final Wednesday night football game.  We arrived early a first this season.  The boys were ready to play.

The sad news was they lost by a touchdown in the last minutes of play.  These sweet boys tried so hard to smile and shake hands with the other team.  The smiles soon turned genuine when they realized they got to keep their flags.  They loved playing and can't wait to play again next year.

Saturday dawned early taking Dave & Ryder to the airport so they could help Uncle Mike with his trailer.  Rylee was at a sleepover so Reganne and I were the only ones home.  Not for long it was volleyball time.

These smiles are the best when they are having fun.  Hopefully, they had fun since they didn't win either game.  They need to work on team work.

YEAH!!! Rylee's team has a new coach and her name is.....Kennedy.  She is the older sister of a teammate and has played club ball until she hurt her knees.   Look at those smiles and feel that energy.  They won their first game!!!!!

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE WEATHER??????  It had changed from the time we started volleyball until now.  We had to make a pit stop at home for some warm clothes.  We were ready for two games this afternoon.

After two hours of cooler temperatures and some precipitation (Rain) and a lot of wind.  The games were over and the Geckos won both.  I was frozen the girls seem unaffected.  Rylee hid out in the van reading.   We survived and there were smiles all around.

Stay tuned for our next edition of Waters Sports Center.....Will the girls survive volleyball?  Will the weather be warmer for the final soccer game of the season?  Will Dad be able to make the games this week?

Happy 49th Birthday!!!!!

That time of year again to celebrate Dave's birthday.  Ryder decided Dad needed a cake and not pie this year.  When asked Dave asked for Chocolate, Chocolate Cake.

And that is what he got.
A very rich chocolate chocolate cake.

How many candles????
Too many it was decided.

Birthday present from Reganne.
She loves her Dad and didn't want him to feel bad not getting any presents on his special day.
He got his present a week early when UPS delivered a cover for the motor home.  Next year I will make sure I have it delivered to work instead.

We hope that he had a great birthday.  Love you Dad.

Water's Sports Center Update.....

It's crazy having all the kids involved in sports.  However, it has been crazy this past week making it to all the games and supporting each one.  I take so many pictures at each game but they are all starting to look the same.  Here are a few highlights.

Football Semi Finals against the Chargers. They played them twice and lost both times.  Amazing to watch them play again and the score bounced back and forth.

We WON!!!!!
One point in the final seconds of play.

The Cowboys & coaches.
They are headed to the finals and hopefully make it to the championship game.

Next up Saturday Morning a new sport to our family.....Volleyball.  Both girls had a huge disadvantage I am their coach/team mom.  The Rec Center assured me that all I was required to do was help them rotate and cheer them on.  I can do that.

Reganne's Team.... Country Bears
All the girls are really young and playing for their first time.
Downside all the Mom's have played before, but couldn't coach for various reasons.
This however doesn't stop them from giving advice & directions.

Rylee's Team....The Hall of Famers
All the girls go to Rylee's school and love playing volleyball during PE.
They all know what they are doing and don't want to listen to a coach.

Saturday afternoon is reserved for Soccer.  The weather was great for an afternoon outdoors.

Developing a strong kick.
Don't get too close to the ball while she is kicking it.

Running back and forth.
The verdict the Goalie position today was boring.
A fun filled week of sports.  Stay tuned for our next edition of Water's Sports Center will the Cowboys make it to the championship game?  Will Lori last as a volleyball coach?  Will the Gecko's survive their doubleheader?

Fall Break 2014

We had so many ideas of how to spend the two days off.  All included spending time outdoors but we couldn't decide on any one idea.  The Wheelers invited us to spend a couple of days at a friends cabin in the mountains nearby.  It was  a beautiful place and full of activities for everyone to enjoy.

Check out the long pants & jacket.

Guess who is driving? Rylee

My turn was Ryder's whine

Lunch time.

Sandwiches, chips, dill pickles, and orange soda.
We had a lot of fun and it made us all want a cabin just like this one.  Where did fall break go?  We didn't get enough time to do everything we wanted.  Maybe next weekend?
