Egg Drop Fundraiser & Family Picnic

Time once again from the annual Egg Drop Fundraiser for Crimson View Elementary.  Ryder was super excited this year to perfect his container for the egg.  He also wanted to earn a wrist band that will light up to any music.  All he had to do was get $50 to earn it.  Ryder loves a challenge and was up for it.  He diligently went around the neighborhood asking for donations.  Lucky for us we only had to donate $25 to meet his goal.

The kids worked really hard this year on their engineering to protect the eggs.  They were ready for the drop and picnic.  Dave was able to come this year and I hope he likes Chick fil la.  No school sack lunch it must be hot, fresh, and most important be on time.

My Boys!!!
Enjoying lunch together.

Ryder & WiFi the Wildcat

All fun and games until she stole his drink.

Egg drop time
Each grade and each class one at a time.
Mr Esplin  & Mr Carlena
patiently dropping them one at a time.

No cracks or plats

Thumbs up to his group
their egg survived.
It was a fun activity and they met their fundraising goal of $18,000.  Ryder and his friends ran back and forth checking out which eggs survived.  Boys are all over wet gooey messes.

See Ya Later September

School as been in full swing and with it so did mid terms.  The kids were all busy with projects, tests, and activities.

Reganne's first sewing project
The pillowcase that she worked really hard to finish.
She is proud to use it on her bed.

Love Ryder's teacher for sharing this picture
thru the school's ap.
He worked really hard this week on his spelling words
and received his first 100% of the school year.

Homecoming Dance 2018
This is the only picture she has.
I really wanted one with the boys
Hopefully more will come.

Surprise!!!
A birthday surprise from Grandma JeanAnn
and Grandpa Chris.
They really know how to brighten his day.
Thank you so much for remembering him!!!

This boy is still trying to catch a ride.
Another month has flown by and we are headed into October.  The craziness isn't slowing down any either so I am sure October will be full of the same craziness.  It is sad to say goodbye to the longer days of summer.  We will enjoy the many fall activities and the cooler days.  It's time to say hello the the 70 & 80 degree days.  The only trick is remembering to dress warmer in the morning and being able to strip a couple of layers off in the afternoon.

See ya later September.....Hello October!!!

Last, Final, and Goodbye Boating

We have been so busy the last couple of weeks that boating hasn't happened.  We really wanted one last visit before Dave winterizes the boat.  Could we really do make it?  Didn't we used to go until November?  It's only the end of September.

We made it nice and early before the wind could start blowing.  Not to crowded we were ready to have some fun.  As I looked around the boat Ryder was ready to jump in and the girls were scrambling for towels to bundle up in.

Ryder was first in
and
ready to knee board.

Or wake board
This is a lot harder than it looked.
Maybe next year he can learn.

How is the water Reganne?
Cold!!!

I am not sure who is out there.
But each of us had our final ride of the year.

Dad playing with Ryder.
Swim faster and catch it.
He made it but wasn't
to happen with Dad for teasing him.

Silly boy!!

It was a good morning playing
and
having fun as a family!!!

Wasting no time
getting the boat ready for winter.
It was a fun morning and it warmed up nicely so we could enjoy being outdoors.  The water was even warm if the air weren't so cold.  It is sad to see this season ending but Dave was eager to get everything winterized and put away.  Hopefully, we can find something to occupy our time until summer rolls around next year.

Swiss Days Car Show

Dave loves going to car shows.  He loves even more when he can participate in one locally.  Ryder & Rylee also loves going to car shows they however don't like staying all day by the car.  This one happen to fall on Homecoming Day Date so it was only Dave & Ryder.

He won!!
First Place in the Corvette Category.
Ryder eagerly accepted the award.

Our neighbor Travis Smith
Won 2!!!
Ryder is in heaven with
all the cool newer cars.

Hi Mom!!!
Love his variety of hats today.

Another cool car

Striking a pose.
What fun pictures being sent to me throughout the day.  The guys were having a great time and enjoying their time together.  I am hoping to attend one myself soon.  To relax, people watch, and read my book.  I may have to fulfill that dream next summer since it will be cooling down.

Webelos & Arrow of Light

Ryder has worked really hard this year to earn his Webelos Badge and Arrow of Light.  His amazing den leaders have planned, prepared, and worked with a large group of rowdy boys.

 Time to get his badge.
Putting on the paint.
Don't make a mess!!

Brother Codder explaining  the Arrow of Light.

Time to bridge over.
He is now an 11 year old scout.

Time for the birthday crown.

Birthday Cheer
How did three years go by so quickly? He just earned his Bobcat Badge and now it's onto scouts.
He is so excited to go to his first meeting next week.

Multiple Birthday Celebrations

Ryder has been waiting ever so patiently for his birthday this year.  NOT!!! He has planned, shopped, and changed his plans so many times I couldn't keep track.  This is also hard on the parents when he keeps finding new things that he just has to have for his perfect present.  Thanks goodness for Amazon and 2 Day Shipping.

This was going to be another year where we have to celebrate on multiple days.  First being family dinner at Olive Garden with a free yummy dessert.  Birthday Cake will have to wait since we were all stuffed.

The big day finally arrives.  He is ready to really celebrate and have some fun.  This boy had his school treat all picked out of caramel apple suckers.  They are nut free & gluten free so everyone in his class an enjoy it together.  Where is my little boy??? Being so considerate of others.

After pack meeting it was finally time for the presents & cake.

Surprised or not?
He was since it did get everything he had put in the cart.

Oreo Ice Cream Cake
It looks very yummy!!!

Can I light the candles?

Reganne steps into help.
The fire stick was stuck and soon the cake was  on fire.

BAM!!!
All are out and hopefully a birthday wish will come true.
Thanks Blake!!
for providing the muscle needed to
cut this frozen cake.
He had a crazy fun birthday!!! He now has 364 days to plan next years celebration.  The one downside is he may decide he likes having his birthday this way.  This maybe the last year that he is shorter than me.

Walking The Runway...

The Dillard's Homecoming Fashion Show held one week before the dance.  They had promised a lot of fun, food, and giveaways for everyone.  Rylee is always game for dressing up and free makeup. We both thought there would be so many girls participating. Pleasant surprise that there were only 10 girls and half of them were from Cedar City.

Time to get dressed, primp, and rehearse.

Gorgeous

Formal Poster

Her pose!!

I won't fall/

She did it and looked amazing.
Shocking the girl behind her dress was see through.

I/m bias but she rocked it!!!
What a fun quick 10 minutes feeling beautiful and pampered.  Her friends missed it by minutes.  They started on time and finished on time.  It was now time for treats, sign ups for makeovers, and of course the free stuff.

Check out the bag full of stuff.
It was full of samples of makeup, jewelry, a clutch purse, and other fun stuff.  She will get her free makeover the day of the dance.  They are hoping to fit it in between the day activities and the dance.

Thank goodness it's only 7 days away.  The girls will go crazy if it was much longer.  The boys do like to procrastinate and it's driving everyone else crazy.
