Saying Goodbye

To our trusty van after all the many miles of hauling our family, friends, and too much sports equipment met it's end the first of the month on my way to work.  What I thought was a minor fender bender turned out to be a major one.  Never get in an accident on the way to work and on a busy street.  I received many text messages, neighbors stopping to check, and even co-workers on me later in the day.

Luckily nobody was hurt just shook up.  The downside was it was totaled which made us all really sad as we had to say goodbye before they towed it away.

Doesn't look that bad to me.

Yet to the trained eye it was much worse.
So one car down and hopefully we can find something to replace it come spring time.  Rylee reminds me that I am now driving her future car and that I had better take care of it.

Season Ending Games

Monday arrived to the Semi-Final Games and we were once again playing the Patriots.  This was to be the 4th match up this season and the previous 3 the Patriots won in the final seconds.  Our boys were ready to play and the dad's were ready to cheer each play.

Get him!!!!

Running to catch up.
Cowboys won in the final seconds and were all smiles.  It was onto the Championship game on Wednesday.  Everyone get plenty of rest.

Championship day arrived but along with it was cold and rainy weather.  The temperature as the whistle blew was 42 degrees and drizzly.  Let's hope this will level the playing field a little against the Raiders.

Time to play!!!!

I'm tough and don't need long sleeves.
He let me drape his jacket on his shoulders while waiting his turn.
YEAH!!! a heater!!!!
Warming their hands between plays.
Coaches talking to the boys another good season
came to an end.
There were a few tears and a few watery smiles from these frozen boys.  They just couldn't keep up with the Raiders.  There is always next year.

U8 Cowboys
Came in 2nd place in their division.
I had promised ice cream on the final game.  However, I wasn't expecting it to be so cold.  The thermometer dropped even lower to 40 degrees.  Ryder reminded me and off we went to Culver's to celebrate a good season.

A yummy treat fixes everything.
After this yummy treat and warming up this boy was ready for bed.  He was still sad about losing but vows to come back next year and give it his all.

We are proud of all these boys for doing their best and never giving up.

Waters Sports Update Halloween Week

It maybe a holiday week full of activities but the sports continue on as usual.  First up was a Monday playoff game for the Cowboys.  Could they keep up their streak and continue to win??  Yes!!! they won again.  They played really well pulling all flags right and left.  Ryder rushed in a grabbed a few himself.

I  have got it!!!
Rushing in.

Halloween started off with volleyball at the rec center.  Reganne's team is working on their serves after 2 serves they were to try an overhand serve.

Reganne serving it up.
Rylee cheering her team on and giving words of encouragement to each girl.

Reminding them to call it.
After 6 volleyball games it was onto soccer.  It was the perfect afternoon for being outside.  The girls played really hard and won 7 to 3.  Reganne was really bummed to give up those three goals.

Setting up for a corner kick.
Reganne was on the job and blocked the ball.
Lunch / Dinner @ Culvers
It was a busy day running from one game to another with a few side trips.  A free cupcake @ Sweet Tooth Fairy to start the night of treats off.  Oops it was 4:00 and we haven't stopped for food.  We need some nourishment before tackling a night of treats and maybe a few tricks as well.

Happy Halloween

Better late than never on this post.  It was a crazy week full of activities, sports, parties, and a lot of yummy treats.

We had a dress rehearsal on Tuesday for the ward carnival.

The Count & Iron Man
Ryder & Corbin
A few treats
Don't let the cute raccoon steal our treats.  The Zombie Hunter is back.
We found a few snags but as with any dress rehearsal, but there is still time to make corrections.
Getting closer to the big day how close are we for the school parade?
The Count and friends at the school parade.
The sneaky raccoon along with her friends.
Mom meet Emma.

The crazy day finally arrived and we were ready to have fun.  Too much craziness going on we almost forgot about our pumpkins this year.  Next year I am determined to grow our own.

Ryder giving orders or maybe offering assistance?

The Count is ready
What has he been chewing on?  It's all over his face & shirt.
Hopefully, Spray & Wash will take care of it.
Our cute black cat
Who volunteered to take Ryder out for the night.

Reganne and her entourage
Who is that dark haired man in the background?

The Count & Charlie Brown
They are ready to hit the streets and get some candy.
Dave & Blake handed out candy and scared little kids with the haunted house.  Rylee took the boys out to get candy and Reganne went with her friends.  What to do??? I picked up the house of all the stuff left out after getting ready.  Just as we were closing down for the night Rylee's friends showed up to do a little more trick or treating before it got any later.

The kids had fun lucky us we get an additional hour of sleep with the ending of Daylight Savings Time tonight.

The Big 50!!!

Happy Birthday Dave!!!!  How did this happen so quickly? It was time to party and celebrate his special day.  He started it off right by taking the day off from work.  Too bad he had to take care of a van with a dead battery but we are all glad he did.

His pick for dinner was Texas Roadhouse which everyone loves.  He reminded the kids that he wasn't sitting on any saddle this year.

Birthday Boy

Waters' Sports Update

Football Wednesday arrived with cloudy skies and raining.  We were bundled up with umbrellas that could be put away before half time.  The boys were focused on playing their best and they succeed by pulling of a win against the Raiders.  They are headed to the next round of games next week.

Passing the ball successfully
They all worked had on this at practice.
Running and grabbing flags.
The ground was wet so they were tackling as well.
Action photo
Loved the ref getting right in there.
Saturday soccer dawned early at 9:00.  My question was why so early??  Most of our games have been in the heat of the day.  Now that is cooling off we are playing in the morning.  It was a crazy day with a lot of stuff needing to get done.  Dave had to work so divide an conquer wasn't going to work today.  Instead I had to rely on others to help me out.  After dropping Reganne off at her game Ryder & I headed to the primary program practice.  I couldn't get a sub for this one.  Next best have others take pictures for me.

Warm up
Goalie Kick
And another
It was a tied game against the SC Milan.  Once again a tough game with a few questionable calls and a protested goal.

After soccer & primary practice it was time for Rylee's volleyball game.  Reganne missed hers due to scheduling conflicts.  I couldn't clone either of us.  Time for the Hall of Famers to take the court.

Rylee has a wicked serve and can really send the ball falling.  She is the oldest on her team which is frustrating, yet she was a good sport continuing to play her hardest.

I got it!!!
And she did sending it flying over the net.

It was a crazy week full of challenges but the smiles at the end are priceless.  Time to gear-up for another busy week of sports highlights.
