Happy Thanksgiving 2010

It was a Happy Thanksgiving this year with plenty to be grateful for. Good food, great friends, health, and a warm house. So many more things and not enough time right now to list them. We were lucky to spend the day with our friends the Wheelers. One highlight of the day was playing Wii and learning a new game. The kids played all day.

Wii Family Game Night...Rates an A+ and fun for everyone.
Yummy pumpkin pie and ice cream. Missed getting a picture of the $1.00 Turkey.

Decorating for Christmas... Our fun family tradition after Thanksgiving.

The Upside Down Traditions Tree
The kids finished their tree on Saturday morning. I am not sure this tree will survive with all the ornaments. The kids wanted to add more. Luckily we ran out.

Let's the craziness begin. We hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving Weekend. We sure did.

2010 Jubilee of Trees

Once again it is Jubilee of Tree. Where did the year go too? The Jubilee is the big fundraising event for the DRMC Foundation. This years project was raising money for Breast Health. Dave was very involved this year with many different aspects. He helped design and build the Thrift Store's Christmas Tree to be sold at auction. He was constantly on the move picking up and delivering boxes, supplies, and basic goffer. As a family we were able to participate in the Ladies Luncheon Fashion Show. Our outfits came from the thrift store and were all under $20.

Dave, Rylee, and Ryder looking at the trees.

Ryder admiring Dad's Tree

Is this how we model?

Time for dress rehersal.

All dressed up and ready to go.

Don't we look sharp and all in the name of charity.

The highlight of the fashion show was as Reganne, Ryder, and I started down the cat walk. Ryder kept tugging at me and pulling at his pants. We got to the end and ready to make our turns. Ryder yelled Mom My Pants!!! As he turned he lifted up his shirt and mooned everyone. He pants had falled below his bottom. I quickly pulled them up as the audience were laughing.
It was fun to do this as a family. The girls are already planning next years outfits.
The Store's Christmas Tree sold for over $500 and Dave was able to deliver the tree to the new owner. She was so thankful for him bringing to her house and told him how much she loved the tree and the memories that it brought back. She and her husband used to spend Thanksgiving at the beach. He passed away and now she has the tree to remind her of happier times.

Little Valley Elementary Choir

Back when Rylee started kindergarten. She heard about the school choir and wanted to participate. Each year when school starts she has asked if this is the year she can join. This was the year they decided to let the third graders join. I believe the whole third grade turned out for tryouts. The kids started right away with early morning practices getting ready for their first concert. The first concert was for Veteran's Day during the school assembly. However, they forgot one thing. The parents in our school are very supportive. If everyone showed up the school would break the fire code. A quick remedy was for an additional performance before school for the parents.

WOW can they sing!

There was only time for two songs. They sounded wonderful. A little wiggly from nerves and excitement.
Their next performance will be for Christmas. We can hardly wait.

Cousin's Come to Visit

We were so lucky to have Aunt Krisann, Brylee, Bailey, Kassidy, and Karsyn come and visit us this weekend. They also brought along a couple of friends and it was a party. Kassidy had a softball tournamant here in St George. We found out afterwards the park was by Rylee & Reganne's school. Rylee & Karsyn started comparing what they do in school, what they read and determined that they like alot of the same stuff. Reganne was fascinated by all of them she loved to watch them get ready.

They had time on Sunday to enjoy just playing with each other and competing at Wii.

We love to have family visit us. Our doors are always open.

Soccer Week #8

The final week of the fall soccer season turned out to be a great morning for soccer. The girls were ready to play. This week they played the Blue Diamonds. They were good team that had great defence. Ladybugs kept up with them and even scored 5 goals.

Go Reganne, Tailer, and Angel

Let's try again to get a goal.

Ladybug Bag

We have such an awesome coach. He and his wife put together these cute ladybug bags for each of the girls. The smiles were awesome to see on their faces.
Soccer is over until springtime. Reganne was excited for this to be the last game. However, when we reminded her that she wouldn't see her friend or play until spring the smile quickly faded away. Her reply is I love Soccer and I am the best soccer player.

I love the smiles, cheering, and the positive coaching these past 8 weeks. I look forward to springtime.

Halloween Week: Trick or Treating

Finally !!! time for trick or treating. The kids were all ready to go. That was until Dad brought home his latest addition to the decorations. A Haunted House Blowup along with it's own music. The kids then weren't sure if they should stay or go. Maybe a quick trip around the neighborhood and then back to scare their friends.

Halloween Craft Corner
What do to with all those crafts??? I put them on display for 2 days only and a picture to remember for always.

It was a fun week full of activities. However, I am ready for it to be over. The only thing that scares me more is it's time to get ready for Christmas or at least that's what the stores want you to believe. I think we will focus more on a Quiet Thanksgiving first.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN !!!!!!

Halloween Week: School Parade

Friday dawned with the school parade. The notes we received stated the parade would start at approxiametly at 9:15. I parked at 9:10 and walked the 1/2 mile to the school track. I caught Reganne as she was walking by the fence. So much for 9:15! I quickly found a spot as the parade passed by. This year was full of Thing 1 and Thing 2, whoopie cushions, and Ironman.
