Happy Mother's Day....Perfect Cinnamon Rolls

I finally found the perfect cinnamon roll recipe thanks to the Six Sisters Recipe Book that I got for my birthday.  They were so soft and sweet a perfect combination of yummy goodness.

Fresh from the oven.
Ready to eat,
Two thumbs up from one of my toughest critics.

So large and fluffy you can only eat one.  The second day was just as good.  Rylee's request was for more cinnamon. This recipe is a keeper.  The perfect way to kick off Mother's Day.

Soccer Saturday Game 5

They skies were blue and the temperatures were rising and with a late game our team forgot to show up except Ryder.  Lucky for us we played 3 on 3 with their team and had a fun time.  This game was really short due to the heat.

Wait a minute which are one is my team.
Lot's of water is require today.
Kick that ball
So confusing

Even with the shortness of the game the boys all had fun and Ryder made new friends.  Note to self that I must learn Spanish since most of our coaches do and that is how they direct their teams.  Time to cool off.

Spring in Dixie

Yesterday it was warm enough for snow cones.  Today snow cones are falling from the sky.  The saying is wait a half hour if you don't like the weather.

The rain started at 4:45 and by 5:00 this is what greeted me in the parking lot.

Hail
After picking Ryder up came the journey home.
Should we go by boat or will the van make it home?
Tempting enough to try and make snowballs.
A quick reminder that it was ice and be careful not to hit the sisters in the face.
Better not give him any ideas.
Backyard Sail full of hail.

The hail was about the size of a garbanzo bean and there were piles everywhere.  The new cement driveway was still in good shape.  The best news was no damage and cooler weather at least for a couple more days.

Beating The Heat

We left Springville around 9:00 and made it home with enough time to get ready for church.  The weather was so nice up North that we forgot how fickle St George can be in springtime.  After church it was really warm hitting 90.  Oops who forgot to turn on the ac before we left?

Mom to the rescue.....How about snow cones???
Dad's not to happy to help is it the heat?
Nope it's that I can't figure out the ice machine works and needed help.
Yummy
Icy
Sweet Treat to beat the heat.

We are all cooled off and time for bed.  Sugar high stood in the way and it was awhile before everyone settled down.

Time To Party

We made it a little latter than we intended.  That's what happens when your not sure where you are going and the driver argues with the GPS and you have to take a longer route.

Aunt Carrie aka Grandma Biggs w/Henlie, Rylee & Reganne
Camille, Charlie, Jason, Jackie, and Curtis Biggs
Happy Birthday to me.
What are big brothers for but to make my day and remember my birthday in the middle of all the craziness.  Everyone sang to me.

We ended the night with Randy, Janelle, and kids at their house since Janelle is housebound with a broken ankle.  The kids are used to her playing with them that it was all we could do to keep them off her and away from her and off her leg.

It was a busy day but filled with the best things in life.  Here's to another year full of good health and awesome family.  Time to go to bed for this old lady.

Next Stop.....

Hogal Zoo we kidnapped Grandma & Grandpa so they had to come too.  It was a perfect day to visit the animals.  The crowds were still around but the animals were starting to move around since it was after lunch and nap time.

Can we buy something?  PLEASE????
Merry Go Round.  I love that smile.
Rock Shores
Don't hurt us!!!
How long can we sit here and pose?
Lego Polar Bear
This year exhibits are all made out of Lego's and pretty amazing to look at.

Time to head back to grandma's house and get changed for the reception.

Busy Weekend!!!!

This was going to be a very busy weekend but a fun one.  Devan & Kayla's wedding started it off just right.  9:00 was an early start and we arrived with plenty of time to spend with family waiting for the sealing to start.  Since this was also my birthday what better way to celebrate than in the temple.

Larry's family
Jason, Camille, and Charlie
Spring Flowers
Just days ago buried in the snow.
Chocolate & Cotton Candy
Every kids dream of perfection.  Maybe even a few adults as well.

Time for the wedding luncheon everyone was starving.  The kids stayed at Grandma & Grandpa's house so we had a quick stop to load em up and meet everyone for lunch.  Too bad they spotted the chocolate fountain and cotton candy before they ate lunch.  All the begging and pleading from me to eat a few more bites before treats didn't work.  They soon filled up with lots of sugar.  Good thing we were headed to the zoo to run around.

Spring Soccer: Game 4 Orange Ninjas

It's going to be a hot day for soccer since our game started at 11:00.  We were down on player so all three boys were going to play the whole game.  They were happy they didn't have it out.  The Orange Ninjas had 6 players so we knew it was going to be a rough day.

They are off and running
And running...and kicking the ball.
Water Break
If all else fails stand in front of the goal so they can't kick it it.
I tried telling them that they can't do that, but they refused to listen.
They keep on running.
Ryder was running behind everyone not wanting to get hit by the ball.  No amount of talking could convince him that is what he needs to do.
We're pooped!
The game was finally over for these three tired little boys.
But wait the most important part was still to come TREATS!!!!!!

Time for a treat and this week we have to clean the house.

SWA Take Your Kids to Work Day

I am not sure why SkyWest decided to participate in the Bring Your Kids to Work Day, but when they announced it I registered the girls.  Ryder wasn't old enough to come, but give him a couple of years.  The hardest part of the day was getting everyone ready and to work before 8:15.  I signed them in and they went one way and I wend another.

Where does this lead???
To the maintenance dept for part inspection.
Inflight...learn how to service the passengers.
and give the safety demo.
Rylee's group 11 years old to 16 years old.
The whole group with Chip Childs, President of SkyWest
Reganne & Sierra
Friends from Daycare...Her mom works in Inflight
Color Contest
Mom's desk
Digging through my old blackberries.  Can we keep one??
Lunch at Subway
What work day would be complete without having lunch out at Subway.

The girls were unimpressed with my job and all my phones.  They both want to be flight attendants when they grow up.  Just a reminder to them that they have to grow taller and be at least 5'1" to apply.  It was now time to go back to school which they weren't too excited about.  They had a great time and came home with lots of stuff and an eagerness to go again next year.

When I got back to work the People Dept that put it on were all worn out but they had smiles on their faces as well.  That is a good sign for a repeat next year.

2013 Kite Festival

Three months of reading are finally paying off with the Kite Festival.  This year Rylee decided she didn't want a kite but a book instead.  Reganne wanted a kite, but wanted her friend Franky to have the same one.  They came close Reganne got a ladybug while Franky got Rapunzel.

Which one should I pick???
The brand new Dear Dumb Diary book.

Free Kids Zone.....Pick 5 prizes at the end.
Ryder brought me a whistle for soccer.  Because all coaches have whistles.
The Spinning Strawberries
The must ride of the festival.  Too bad they spun away from me each time they came around.
These smiles were still intact after the ride.
Famous Train Ride
Oops!! Someone spilled an orange drink in Ryder & Rylee's bucket.
Rylee slid all the way to the back to avoid it.

We came, we saw, we played, and time to ride the school bus back to the parking lot and go home for dinner. Time somehow slipped away so no cleaning the weekend.  It will wait until the next one.  Know the question is will I survive?

Spring Soccer: The Smashers vs Black Ninjas

This day was going to be a busy one full of games to play, places to visit, and possibly house cleaning.  When I woke up I knew we were already running behind.  Reganne had soccer academy at 10:30, but Ryder's game was at 10:00 across town.  Some quick planning and a few phone calls she had a ride.  The rest of us were headed to Ryder's game.  We arrived with minutes to spare to get the ball rolling.

And roll we did without our assistant coach Axel.

Get that ball.
Who should kick?
A throw in...Ryder turn around!!!
You kick it....No you kick it.
Does she really know what she is talking about?

We pretty good without the knowledgeable one guiding the boys.  They had fun and nobody wanted to sit out and take turns.

It is off to pick Reganne up, visit Dave at work, get a few groceries, and eat lunch.  Hopefully, we will still have time for the kite festival.
