Coach Mike has been looking into more advanced meets for our Nat D Team to attend. First up is the 2023 Sandpipers Pumpkin Invite in Summerlin, Las Vegas. The wasn't going to be a team travel adventure instead it was up to the parents to get them here ready to compete. There were teams from California, Utah, and of course Las Vegas it was it claims on Meet Mobile Ap. However, we saw shade covering for a whole lot more.

Late dinner aka Expensive dinner
We found a room with Wyndham just off the strip.

Pictures With A Few Words

Each picture tells can tell a story if you only take a minute to listen. Here are a few from our busy week.

Anyone have things show up
in their fridge that nobody is willing to claim.
I do believe that Casper have moved in.

St George Temple Open House
Grandma JeanAnn and her sister Aunt LaRae
came down for a quick visit and to attend.
Aunt LaRae in a wheelchair gave us a little different experience.
I am loving being able to attend with whomever invites me.

New water feature
it gives an all new feeling to courtyard.

Dinner out
They have reached the age where dessert for dinner is ok
and nobody questions them.

One of my favorite doughnuts.
Is not a doughnut all but a Spudnut instead.
Fall Festival Treat at work.

Oh!! Here is Casper.
Let's hope he is friendly
and not too mischievous yet.

Let's hope that things don't get to out of control over the next two weeks with more swim meets.  I will see everyone poolside.

Let's Play a Game

Where are you? Send a picture. This one was started by Rylee.

Entry #1
Rylee view from her cabin.
A quick weekend get a way. Could be Brian Head?

Entry #2
Where does all the paper come from.
Ryder from work.

Entry #3
Also from Rylee
A cool adventure to a Drive In Movie

Reganne missed the text since she was at home snuggled up in her bed reading. Dave & I were thrifting and enjoying the sunshine.

This is a fun game to play when everyone is busy and away from home. Good way to also build memories.

Snapshot of the start October

October is starting off with a bang!! Take a look...

Diabetes
Dave's official diagnosis after months of suffering from Thrush.
The 3rd round was enough to send him to the doctor.
This is definitely going to be an adventure for our family.

Chocolate covered Oreos.
Definitely not on Dave's diet plan.
Maybe not on anyone's diet  but they sure were yummy.

Yuck!!!
Toenails on the couch.
Boys can have disgusting habits.
This one needs to stop.

Love her birthday nails.

Indy & Piper
rushing the door to see Reganne.
How would you like to wake up to 4 eyes, 2 tongues, and 2 wet noses.

St George Open House
with Ryder
It was another good tour.

It's been a busy month so far. I hope I have the energy to keep up.

Come Watch Me Fly!!

Monday night job is grocery shopping. I walk through the door just as Dave is heading out the same door. Dave quickly helps get the groceries in the house so I can join the boy crew  to fly. We headed to the Arizona border (5 miles away) to look for them.  We finally found them after a few wrong turns. Hurry up and help us get this off the trailer.

Dang this one looks like a sandrail.
How will it get off the ground?

Off Ruston goes

What an awesome sunset.
The desert just glowed.

He is off.

Ryder's turn
Helmut is a must when mom is around.

Getting everything reset
for another ride.

Dave is mission control
using an iPhone.

They are off again.
Another angle of the sunset.

They made it off the ground.

Smooth landing

Dave off to help them load up.

Working together makes
work quicker.

It looked like so much fun that maybe next time they can take me for a quick ride.

Happy Birthday Reganne

One year old and wiser for sure. It was time to celebrate all things Reganne. Her first request was to sleep as long as she wanted. Then relax, watch her shows, and hang out with friends.

Birthday surprise from Rheta.

She definitely spoiled just a little.

No cake for her.
Instead a chocolate truffle from Walmart.
Instead of a full size (sold out)
Individual serving size, so yummy but very rich.
Hope she made a birthday wish blowing out her one candle.

A birthday heart!
Use the mallet to break it open.

A gift card to Starbucks
She can now enjoy the chocolate heart.
Rylee score with this gift.

White chocolate Oreos
So yummy but a sugar rush for sure.

Birthday Nails
They are really pretty.
She is now ready to start her new job next week.

Birthday dinner was a must at Red Lobster. We haven't been there for awhile the service was excellent, the food good, the prices were crazy. We won't be coming back for awhile. I hope that Reganne had a great day. She is one girl that doesn't demand a whole lot of attention nor does she want it. Today she did demand full attention from everyone until 9:00. She then headed to her room to enjoy some peace and quiet.

We love you and hope you enjoy your last year of being a teenager!!!

Finally!!

It took 2 weeks + 1 day from his birthday to finish all the requirements needed for his license. He has been persistent in completing everything. However, this one was way out of his control. Who knew the rules for driving with the instructor is 3 days only in a 7 day period. 2nd one is the instructor you drive with cannot be one the one to give your final test. Once you finish your 5 days with one instructor you then move to another list for your final. Again, totally out of your control.

Ryder is not know for his patience when he wants something. He has worked so hard over the past year to. have his license by his birthday. Sunday, October 1st he gets the text he has been waiting for. This time he drives after school.  He PASSED!!! if anyone had any doubts.

He is legal!!

He had his appointment scheduled and was ready to roll Tuesday afternoon. He had perma grin from ear to ear. I handed him the keys which he declined. He wanted to relax. The way home from Hurricane he was making plans on where he would go first. He could go by himself. He is legal! Finally.

His first solo trip was you guessed it was the swimming pool. The same route we traveled together for the past year.

He will be driving solo now until March. His next goal is to get his motorcycle permit.
