Challenges!!

I love bread and treats. Bread making has been a challenge for me. There has been many stops, starts, and stop again. I want homemade rolls for Sunday dinner. I am up for the challenge to try again to my standards. Light, Fluffy, and taste good for a couple of days.

Tasted good fresh out of the oven
Not so good on Monday (dry and crumbly)

Smells good and looks nice and cheesy
Lasagna soup once again but not burnt on the bottom

Another Sunday dinner and
another roll attempt.
Again, light and fluffy right out of the oven.
Not so good on Monday.
The ham & funeral potatoes hit the spot.

No Bake Chocolate Oatmeal Bars
Ooey & Gooey.
They needed to be in the fridge to stay setup.
They were abandoned to the back of the fridge. Thrown away much later when nobody went back for seconds.

I am getting more adventurous with my baking.  Come over anytime for free samples.

Have one bye week means full steam ahead for the rest of the month.  First up is the 2023 SUSA Snowmelt Classic and WCCC.

Happy Birthday Ruston!!

It's time to party Ruston is turning 24! Rylee is the ultimate party planner and does an amazing job every time.

Winter Fun

Rylee & Ruston had a winter getaway planned which means Indy stays home. It is so much fun to see what they are doing with the pictures they share.

The Weekend at a Glance

It's the weekend already and we are free. No swim meets or activities it's time to play. Let's check out the car show in Mesquite. It's a super nice day so why not.

Senior Night Swim Meet

It's another weekend and another weekend of swim.  This one is a whole lot different let the fun begin. It's time to honor all the seniors on each team. It's a large group of good kids that like to have fun.

Kicking Off the New Year

New Year's on Sunday means we jump right into the craziness of new adventures. The kids still have a couple more days of Winter Break. Let's see what trouble we can get into.

New Year's Eve

We need to up our New Year's Eve Celebrating. Reganne came up with the idea of crab legs. Pricing them at Costco of $75 per pound was discouraging but cooking something that expensive for the first time is a show stopper for me. Dave suggest the Casablanca in Mesquite for the seafood buffet. $20 per person and all you can eat definitely a better option.

We are off to give a try.

For the record 7.80 inches of moisture this year.
Let's hope the new year brings more to ease the drought.

Not sure this trip with become a tradition. We like seafood but we don't LOVE seafood. Maybe next year we will try smoking some meat. Heading home for parties and movies depending on who you talk to.
