A Quiet Fall Week

This week was spent recovering from allergies that turn into sinus and ear infections. School was back in session after 5 days for Fall Break. A long with that came the homework and getting back into the swing of things. The hunt for Halloween costumes has started in preparation for Halloween Week that is right around the corner. Next week will be full of trick or treating, trunk or treating, parades, and parties.

Today in our Primary Program so let the fun and anxiety start. It was decided that I must stand on the bench so the pianist and kids in the back can see me. Keep your fingers crossed that I don't fall and break my neck or leg.

Family Night: Staheli Family Farms

Fall has finally arrived in St George. Staheli Family Farms / Corn Maze is open for business. Rylee made us promise last year that we would go there are a family. Every time we would drive by on our way to the rec center she would remind us of our promise. Monday's is family night so we were off . There was so much to do and see. We were sure where to start.

Rylee found the Tire Horses.
Reganne was right behind her.

Ryder found the sand pile and trucks.

Next came the tractor ride to the corn maze. It was starting to sprinkle.

The corn maze..... Are we lost?

The girls love the corn. They hated the rest of the maze. We got seperated from Dad & Ryder. They were afraid we would never find our way out or their dad would leave them. I told them I had my cell phone and I would call him. They told me that dad had left his home. So much for comforting them.

Rylee, Reganne, Ryder
What is this stuff???

Rylee & Donkey
This picture is blurry, but I had to share it. The helper at the petting zoo asked Rylee if she wanted to sit on him. Rylee hesitated for a moment and climbed on. As soon as she was on the donkey took off. This look of suprise or terror was priceless. Reganne saw this and she had to have a turn. However, the donkey would not move.

Reganne spotted the horse rides and she just had to have one. She was in heaven and didn't want to get off. The workers gave her an extra long ride.

Ryder found the big tractor and he was ready to go.

It was a fun family night. Too bad everyone came home with allergies from the corn. Don't get allergies or a cold. Everyone thinks you have Swine Flu gives you the evil eye if you start coughing or sneezing. Rylee got sent home from school for sneezing and coughing to much and she has to stay out for 5 days even with a doctors note. The near panic and hysteria here in town is almost out of control and laughable. Everyone has a different theory and will share it.

Reganne's Birthday Weekend

Wow it is hard to believe that Reganne is 5 years old. She could hardly wait for her birthday and her party. She had great plans and was eager for Saturday to get here. This was the year for her big party. We decided to share her party with a daycare friend who's birthday was October 1st. This way the kids wouldn't have to decide which party to attend. The theme was Pink Princess. They had a fun time in our backyard jumping on the trampoline, playing on the swingset, and bouncing in the bounce house.

Reganne; she needed a juice break.
Reganne's Cake "Barbie Diamonds in the Castle" This was the final choice.

Reganne & Sierra "Birthday Girls"

Ryder & the pinata
Little brother had to be in on the action and try. Everyone had to stand way back because he was crazy with stick.

Sierra & Uncle Randy
This pinata broke much easier than the purple horse. Just a note buy authenic and not from Walmart & Target. They are much easier to break and the kids loved the colors.

Wow look at the candy and toys! It was a mad scramble to get the goodies.

Robin & Brinton
I am not letting go where is my goodie bag.

Sunday was the official day. Reganne could not believe that she was five. She kept giving us strange looks and then would smile. So I am not sure what was running through her head.

We had a smaller family party with Macaw, Uncle Randy, Brinton, and Holland. She loved every minute of it.

Reganne opening her presents. Each one was greeted with the same excitement.

This picture says it all. WOW!!!!

She got her big girl bike. She has been riding a very small bike and we thought she was going to break it with her wild riding. This one is much better suited for her. Thanks the salesman who helped us size it correctly.
Our birthday tradition is the birthday person gets to pick their favorite place to eat. Reganne's first pick was Del Taco. Dave promptly told her that she needed to pick someplace she hadn't been for awhile. Del Taco is her weekly choice for Monday. So she decided she wanted the peanut place. Translation: Texas Roadhouse. We asked them to sing to her. They brought a saddle for her to sit on as they did a cheer. She turned to Dave & I and asked how they knew her name.
After all the exitement she told me she loved her birthdays and can we do this again tomorrow. She thinks everyone gets a birthday weekend.

Lowe's Buildit Workshop: Fire Trucks

This weekend was another Lowe's Buildit Workshop build a Fire Truck. Lucky for me the real firetruck was there with real firemen. They were so cute with the kids. They let them climb inside and explore. They even were able to sit in the front and pretend to drive.

The smiles were priceless. We took home the fire truck kits. They built them with Dad on Sunday afternoon. Ryder slept with his.

Fall Drive

Dave & Reganne wanted so badly to go for a drive and have a picnic. Sunday after church was the day to go look at fall leaves. We drove up to Kolob Lake. Everyone got out of the monster truck and much to our surprise the temperatures had dropped to around 55 degrees. The kids were so excited to be out and throw rocks into the water. They didn't notice the cooler weather.

Ryder just wanted to look and throw from a safe distance.

Reganne & Rylee wanted to be up close and personal to the water. Reganne slipped and sat down in the mud within 30 seconds of arriving at the water.

They loved throwing the rocks and trying to see how far theirs would go.

The rest of the drive we had rain and even colder temperatures. The kids loved the leaves and having the windows down. The picnic didn't work out instead we had to stop for dinner in Cedar City.

Breyer's Neighborhood Ice Cream Party

We live in a great neighborhood and Breyer's Ice Cream agrees. This year three different families submitted entries on our neighborhood. Two of those families won. So once again we enjoyed free hot dogs, chips, and ICE CREAM!!! We had fun with the many games and activities. There was a dunking booth. Rylee has a great throwing arm. Both times she was up to throw. She dunked the person with the ball. Build a rocket and launch it was another activity. The kids were able to launch their paper rockets. With the wind they went sailing down the street.

Reganne
Wow look at it go.

Reganne, Rylee, and Dave
Is our turn yet?

Rylee & Dave
Finally it is our turn and look at them fly.

The final activity was the frozen tee shirt contest. The man in the red shorts won.

Rylee won a quart of ice cream for the dunking booth. We were able to enjoy for later.

Dixie Roundup Rodeo Breakfast

This week was full of activities. The rodeo came to town. Rylee wanted so badly to go and see the bulls. There was to much going on and it ended way to late for a school night. This year they started a new activity. A breakfast will the cowboys, clowns, queen, and princess. We shook hands with the mayor and played with the animals. Reganne was in heaven.

Ryder & Mom
He wasn't so sure about touching them. Bite, Bite is all he would say.

Reganne
She on the other hand wanted to climb inside. She stayed with the animals for almost an hour.

Rylee
Petted each one and then she was done. This is boring Mom. Where are the rodeo animals?

Rylee
Yah, we found all the rodeo stock in other pens. They couldn't pet them, but stood and watched them.

Reganne & Rylee
They were so fascinated by the large Pershon Horses.

It was a great morning. Rylee made me promise to take her next year.

Ryder's Birthday Party

Ryder's 2nd birthday was a family & neighbor party. Everytime anyone would sing or say happy birthday he would grin from ear to ear. Then duck his head. His theme this year was motorcycles.

Ryder's Motorcyle Cake

Ryder & his cake. He ate the whole piece

Time for presents

Finally I get to play with my new toys.
He loved all the attention and new toys. He continues to sing Happy to Me, Happy to Me.
