2011 Fall Soccer #3: The Chameleons

We had the first game of the morning so everyone was fresh and ready to go. This week they played the Silver Chameleons on Field # 9. One problem with the first game is that everyone is slow to arrive which makes the game start late. Our girls were ready to go.

They are off

Working hard

Who has the ball?

Defense

Half Time pep talk

Which goal is ours?

2nd Half and on the run again.

Team Cheer!!! Go Chameleons!!

This week the teams were evenly matched. I believe we scored two goals and they had.

Reganne played 3 quarters and had to sit out the 4th quarter which she wasn't happy about. Each child must sit out one quarter. The coach decided Reganne would be best at during the first of the game and tired at the end. She surprised everyone by wanting to continue. She had some really great blocks and kicks playing defense. However, she was disappointed that she didn't score a goal this week. I reminded her that she stop 2 goals and that was just as important and as hard to do as scoring. I am not sure she believed me, but she smiled and gave me a hug.

Again we left the field with smiles all around.

Is It Present Time??

The day couldn't have been longer for Ryder. The birthday boy had to wait until after dinner for presents and cake. He almost didn't make it.

Birthday Crown

Friends & Neighbors ready to celebrate.

It smells like money. Thanks Grandma & Grandpa.

Mater & McQueen Pillow Pets...Diving head first.

Ready, Set, Blow... busted Rylee for helping.

The second piece is always the best.

He waited until everyone left and dug into his cake.

Like Son... Dave had his first piece after everyone left.

It was a great weekend with a flurry of birthday activities. He is so proud that he is four and a big boy.

Four Years Ago...

It's hard to believe that four years ago today this little boy came into our family. He maybe small but he is mighty. He is full of mischief, giggles, hugs, and kisses.

He is too cute...You just want to hug him.

He wanted to pose this way. I agree with him that it is perfect.

Our Little Man!!!

We Love You!!!

Now if only he can wait until his party later today. When asked what he wants. He replies I get what I get and don't throw a fit. We will see?

Happy 4th Birthday Ryder

He has been waiting so patiently for his birthday and since his birthday is on Sunday it became a three day celebration. Starting with treats for his daycare class on Friday. Saturday a visit to Barnes & Noble to get his Birthday Book and free cookie. Then a birthday dinner at Pizza Factory. Presents and cake on Sunday.

Rodeo Parade 2011

The weather is cooling off, but when you are outside in the sun it feels like 100 degrees with no breeze. This year they combined the children's parade with the General Parade. We waited for the fun.

When is it going to start?

Let's have fun and try a picture...Oops the girls got cut off.

One more try...Oops what happened to Ryder??

The Silly Clown and his sillier horse.

Since when do horses were pants? This was Ryder's favorite part of the Rodeo. It was cool to see them again.

What parade would be complete if they didn't throw candy?

The caught a purse full.

Next year we must remember to bring bags.

It was fun, minus the bees, grandma that stole our frisbee, and the heat.

Ryder had a bee fly in his ear, luckily he didn't get stung. After all the screaming and some ice from a bottle he was fine.

Rylee had a guy throw a frisbee her direction. At the last second it swirved to the side and a grandma picket it up and put it in her purse. The whole time watching Rylee to see if she would say anything. She didn't and I was proud of her for not making a fuss.

2011 Fall Soccer: Purple & Pink Pirates

After a long night at the rodeo. Morning came with a flurry of activity to get ready for soccer. We made it with enought time to watch Dacoda play a part of his game. We were then off to cheer for Reganne. We were surprised to find out we were playing the same team as last week. Their star players were there and WOW!!! they were advanced players.

Defense

#3 is fast in stopping the ball.

On the run

Half Time

Goal...Maybe??

Go Nicole and score

Good Job Pink Pirates!!

It was a hard game but at least there were smiles at the end.

2011 Dixie Roundup Rodeo

Rodeo Weekend was a little calmer this year. The kids had the assembly at school, but decided against participating in the children's parade. We only had the rodeo or radio (Reganne's word) on Friday night and Tough Enough to Wear Pink. We were ready for a fun night.

Dressed and ready to go.

Waiting for it to start.

And waiting.. Can we have treats? I am starving!

YEAH!!!

Grand Marshall.. Cool wagon & horses

Cancer suvivors with pink balloons.

Cute hair

The rodeo ended with not much excitement. Everyone still had a great time.

Death in the Family...Goldalena

Last Sunday while I was working on the blog screams broke out to come quick to the fish tank. Dave and I arrived the same time to discover that Rylee's fish Goldalena was floating upside down in the tank. Just the day before they found her with her fin stuck in the filter. So much for the stress she didn't survive.

One Big Fish!!

Too big for the net.

Can't flush it.. Must bury it.

The funeral procession.

Preparing the site in the family pet cemetary.

They all wanted to carry it.

Rylee said a few words and then Dad completed the buriel.

A crazy thing to blog about but what a great time to teach and remind them about death.

Game #1 the Purple ???

Soccer Saturday dawned bright and sunny a perfect day for a game at least for the first game of the morning. Opening morning can be very crazy with fields not completely marked or setup. Coaches gathering players and timid players not sure if they really want to be there. We played the Purple ?? to be named later.

The whistle blew....

Kick Off

A Goal!!!

Kick the ball...

Get it!!!!

It was a great first game with alot of room to grow. Goals were scored and cheers were loud and proud. By the end the girls started remembering how much they enjoyed this crazy game of soccer.
