Ryder is Two !!!!

My first question has been where has the time gone. My response is quickly how lucky we are to have him as part of our family. My second question is how am I going to survive him? My reply is with alot of patience.

His official stats are: Weighing in fully clothed, minus shoes, plus diaper = 20 pounds 10 ounces. Height including wiggles, giggles, and screaming = 31 inches tall.

Officially he is low average on the charts. (But he is on the charts) He is finally catching up to the other kids. He is healthy and strong.

When shot time arrived he was to receive two. One flu shot and one Hep A. The nurse started swabbing his leg. He was so facinated by that I just was holding his shorts out of the way. The prick came and he erupted into screams. He quickly reached down and pulled on the top of the syringe and out it came. The nurse was surprised and we quickly held him down for the second. After a little bit of comfort he wanted to leave. As he walked out of the exam room. He held up his shorts limping and saying OW, OW. Everyone started laughing as we were walking out. He got his sucker and was happy.

There are the official two pictures.
He loves balls, cars, motorcycles, and teasing his sisters.

Thanks goodness for candid photographs. He promptly started throwing these balls at the photographer and his sisters. They wore me out.

Saturday at Lowe's

Now that I have my camera & computer talking again. I am behind in my pictures. This was supposed to be last weeks entry. We will catch up with all of our fun activities. It will just take me a couple of weeks.

One of the activities Dave has done with Rylee & Reganne is Lowe's Buildit Workshop. Last weeks class was a drum. We decided to get the kit and bring it home and they would build it with Dad.

Saturday morning dawned and off we went to Lowe's us and 50 other families. We have never had to sign up just showed up. So much to my surprise we had to wait to see if there were enough kits for those who signed up.

During our wait the Lowe's staff gave each child a flower box to build. Ryder loved the hammer. Reganne loved the nails. Rylee just wanted to get started. We slowly built 1/2 of one. The girls are really good with the hammer. Ryder was great at hammering the sidewalk.

We took home 3 drum kits and 3 flower box kits. It has now been confirmed that I am not a builder. I am much better at the library.

Rylee, Ryder, and Reganne

Here they are in their Lowe's Apron & Safety Goggles. They each received a certificate and badge.

They loved it and are looking forward to then next class a fire truck.

Family Movie Night

Saturday night at our house is Family Movie Night. We watch a family movie, have treats, and watch the movie on the big screen. The kids look forward to it all week. This week was no different. Reganne started asking on Thursday if we could have our family movie. Saturday seems like along time to a four year old.

Saturday finally arrived and the movie of the week is Hannah Montana the Movie. Dave heard great things about it and suggested we buy it for the girls. Me on the other hand can only take so much Hannah. Rented it at Redbox for a $1. I wanted to check it out before commiting $20 and then having ignored after watching it once.

Then comes the best part making the treats. The treat of the week is Chocolate Cookie Bars. Reganne & Ryder had to help. Reganne wanted to taste, stir, and dive right in. After I put them in the oven. I gave her and Ryder each a spoon with a little batter on it to taste. Reganne was all smiles. Ryder was covered from head to toe. I am not sure what happened, but I don't think any made it inside his mouth.

Movie and treat time finally arrived. Dave freaked out about the chocolate and the furniture. The kids did really well with not make to much of a mess. The movie started and it wasn't so bad. Not one I could watch too many more times. But good for a night.
Ryder fell asleep in the first hour. Reganne fell asleep in the second hour. Rylee watched the whole thing.
What a nice way to spend the weekend. Family, Chocolate, and a Movie.
