DHHS Swim Team 2023

Picture time for the swim team. I wasn't sure what to expect since it is our first year.  Ryder was sure what to expect either and he wasn't eager to participate either. Let's keep an open mind and go for it.

How is it possible to have as many crazy activities during the downtime of Christmas break. Well we did for sure.

Dave had shared that there was someplace to recycle it. He wasn't to happy with me when I demanded we take it there than fill our cans.

I wish recycling was easier and cheeper.

I love the adventures that everyone was able to have this week.  Maybe this is an indication of what the new year will be like.

Oh how the change it was not an early morning but a lazy one for us. Everyone slowly moved towards the presents and Ryder was tasked with handing everything out. Way to slow for Rylee so she took over.

It was a great day!! I am amazed at the thoughtfulness each person in selecting the perfect gifts. I need to follow suit it makes it special for everyone. Thank goodness it's a slow down day to spend with the family. The kids are out of school and no swim. Let's all enjoy this next week.

Christmas Eve

Kicking off our annual Christmas Eve adventures. A little shake up this year starting off at Caesar's Palace for lunch at the Cheesecake Factory. Shopping if you can afford it.

What's Up?

With all that hair? He missed the last 2 haircut appointments due to swim. During this time he decided to let it grow and duplicate some of the popular hairstyles that he has seen at school. We really aren't sure what he was envisioning. I'm sure the results were not what he was expecting. Course, Curly, Chlorine damaged hair makes for an unruly, frizzy hair that defies all combs and brushes. Instead of long cascading curls to his shoulders. It is growing upwards higher and higher each day.

Whirlwind

That is called Christmas is in full swing.  Parties, decorating, shopping, and swimming all require attention. Is there enough time each day to accomplish everything that needs to be done. Fasten your seatbelts as I give you a glimpse of the week.

It was an awesome show and worth every penny. The best part was seeing the smile on her face. Experiences are turning out to be the best gifts of all.

Christmas Adventures

Dave loves to drive around town and look at Christmas lights. This year he wants to expand our adventures and head to Cedar City.  The bonus will be the snow. Everything looks better with a little snow except for the roads. We all loaded into the Hummer and setup off after dinner.

I refused to navigate.

I climbed into the very back. Turning my seat over to Ruston.

were pretty amazing with the added bonus of snow.

My jacket will never be the same.

The icy roads were another adventure and not a fun one.  The slick, icy, snowy roads were a trick to maneuver thank goodness Dave is an awesome driver. We made it home safe and sound. What other adventures can we have this this year.

2022 SUSA IMX Challenge

It's really confusing with a meet every weekend whether it's club or high school.  I am having to pay really close attention so I show up in the right colors for officiating.  USA is white & black and high school is navy & kaki. This week is white & black plus a coat, gloves, and maybe a hat.  It is really cold on deck. I really hate this pool it's either 106+ in August and low 40's in December.  It feels cooler than usual this year.
