Double Game Week

It was going to be a busy week with 2 games 7 & 8 rescheduled for the same week.  The girls were excited to play after a week off.

The first game was versing Cima @ Sullivan Soccer Fields.  Reganne's was Forward Position.  She was off and running trying to follow the other girls and duplicate what they were doing.  Our girls always try and take control of the pace.

Reaching for the ball

Getting an assist
They kept the pace steady and had their first shut out.  The final score was 3 to 0.  Reganne assisted with one goal.  There were smiles all around and exhausted.  Time to head home for dinner, shower, and bed.

Wednesday, we headed back to the fields at Little Valley for the early game @ 5:30.  This game was going to be a little harder vs The Galaxy Club.  This club can be a little difficult with rough play and rough talking parents.

Getting Ready

An Attempt or Assist?

Helping out
Reganne tried a different position tonight the Right Wing.  She was right in the midst of action and she was up for the challenge.  They worked hard against the rough & tumble players.  One girl even earned a yellow card for her efforts.  The final score was 2 to 0.

This was the final game of the fall season and we ended up in second place over all.  Not bad for their first season playing together as a team.

The girls will slow down a little after fall break.  Then it will be time to get back in the groove for tournament season.

DSU Football Game

Let's go support our local college football team DSU.  I scored free tickets from work so we were off with friends in tow.  Can everyone have fun and enjoy being outdoors?

Walking through the gate we were greeted with pink t-shirts for everyone in support of breast cancer awareness.  Next up choosing our seats.  We saw the student section by the band and cheerleaders and a lot of open seats.  We were ready for some fun.

Reganne & Alyvia
Being patient and maybe looking for cute boys?

Smiling and waiting
I forgot one minor detail sitting in the student section.  Student language isn't always the best or the cleanest.  We did get to play with one of their dogs.  The game started out one sided and by the second half it flipped to the other side with out much chance for recovery.

It was a fun night out with all the kids and we got nice pink t-shirts out of it as well.  Also, what better way to get to know your kids friends the having fun with them.

NICU Reunion....Staheli Farms

Another reunion with a morning full of fun in the sun.  The girls declined the invitation to go with us so we headed off.  Ryder has been waiting patiently for his turn to go to the corn maze and try his luck getting to the end.

Our 10 year old graduate

Can these guys get us through?

We are off...

Found the center...
Now can we find our way out?

Other fun activities...
Corn slide

Water trough slide

Competition with Dad
It was a fun morning full of dirt and corn dust.  Ryder had a great time playing and enjoying the treats.  The most amazing thing to me was watching all these families that have been touched by the NICU and all their tireless work each day for these tinny babies.  We are still to thankfully for our caring staff 10 years ago.

CVE Fundraiser....Egg Drop

A new school comes with new activities.  CVE has a Lunch with parents along with their annual fundraiser "The Egg Drop"  What class can earn enough money to qualify for the ultimate bundle of items to protect their egg.

Ryder quickly jumped right in and started collecting donations for his class.  Lucky for his class he made his goal of $50 so they qualified.  They went right to work designing and learning what would be the best protection.

The big day arrived and he requested lunch from Chick-fil-a.  I headed off to pickup lunch along with 1/2 of St George.  I was only 10 minutes late but time enough to enjoy the food and meeting his new friends.

New friend Jace

It survived

Some not so much.
His teams hard work paid off and they were successful their egg survived.  The school raised $13,000 for their STEM Programs.  I am so proud of his hard work and his eagerness to try new things.

What will be the next project they work on?

Another Teenager

Reganne is officially a teenager!!!! How does a 13 year old celebrate her big day?  She goes to Young Womens for a progressive dinner.  We had the main course trying to fill up these crazy girls with pasta and a variety of sauces.  We tried to have a variety for the girls to choose from.  They had dessert at another house and surprise it was a birthday cake.

Beehives Progressive Dinner

All friends and beehives
This teenager is lucky she gets to celebrate for multiple days and with all of her people.
Presents....First cell phone

Followed with a yummy ice cream cake.

How old is she??

Thank you hugs

My own white board,

And she did.
I do believe this girl had an awesome birthday.  She loved being with family, friends, and even getting her favorite ice cream birthday cake.

Let's hope the next year slows down a little bit I am not ready for her grow up anymore.  Can we stop the clock instead.

Soccer Game Night vs The Bolts

We are back to Sullivan Soccer Fields for a weeknight game.  First off was a moment of silence for all the victims from the Las Vegas shooting and all the natural disasters over the past couple of months.  What a sight to see all both teams linking arms, along with coaches, parents, and officials forming a circle.   All the turmoil in the world it was great to see everyone stop for a minute and come together for the minute.

It was now time to get the game rolling.  The girls were ready to play.

Check out the footwork
Playing Forward Position

Love her moves

Win the ball!!!
This game was a tough one.  The Bolts came to play and take control by setting the pace.  Our girls fought back with everything they had the game ending in a tie 3 to 3.  However, one disclaimer is that they only scored one goal and the other 2 were off penalty kicks.  The game was aggressive with our Keeper getting hurt and getting helped off the field.

It was a tough game full of emotions and maybe a lot of frustration.   Our second tie of the season this calls for more hard work.

September Odds & Ends

I have been trying to clean up all my pictures and move them over to Google Photos for another backup and to post to this blog.  During the process I lost a few pictures when I was blogging but they magically reappeared during the syncing process.

while helping out with another phone.
September ended and we are worn out.  Hopefully, October will be a little slower.  I am not counting on it since Halloween is always busy.

Soccer Game vs The Rebels

Just when I was getting used to Wednesday Soccer game they throw us a curve with a Saturday game.  This game was closer to home at the Little Valley Fields and against a new team The Rebels.  This is also the first game our girls have worn the red uniform and it looks great.  I think this is one of the best soccer uniforms I have seen.

The Rebels are from Parawon and they were ready to play.  Reganne started off the first half with as left defender and the whistle blew.

Guarding the goal
Second half brought a change in position to Forward.  She had the look of terror in her eyes but didn't give into that fear.  She ran out and started to play.

Play she did!!!!
She not only assisted in a couple of goals.
She scored one herself!!!!
The game ended with a score of 8 to 1.  Once again our coach asked the girls to work on their skills instead of running up the score.  The Rebels were able to score their first goal of the season.

I could hardly wait for the game to end and give Reganne a high five for her goal.  She however wasn't impressed by scoring.  Instead she was overwhelmed by the forward position.  I did give her a hug and told her she did an amazing job.  Where did she learn the fancy footwork??  "I remembered it from my Rage practices"

Next week will bring a couple more games and maybe being in the forward position again.

DHHS Homecoming Dance

Rylee was invited to the DHHS Homecoming Dance with her good friend Maklain.  He did make her sweat a little by not asking her right way.  Anticipation in some cases makes you crazy.

It was late and the doorbell rang....

Everyone ran to the door....
Dirty glass (note to me to clean it)

Yummy!!!
She of course said yes.

WOW!!! She is beautiful.
When did she get so grown up.

Her crew
She looked amazing and made new friends along the way.

They both look really nervous.
This is both of their first dates.

Good luck??
They had a fun time spending the day at Fiesta Fun, lunch at Dairy Queen, dinner at Texas Roadhouse, and finally the dance.  He splurged for an Uber to bring them home so no late night driving for me.

Next school dance is girls choice but not until November.  She had better get earning some money to pay for all the fun stuff she wants to do.
