Utah Summer Games

Ryder was eager to attend this meet. Its been a month since the last meet and he was eager to improve his times and along the way qualify for more events in the championships.  I was also volunteering as an official in training.  Let's have some fun and enjoy the meet.

Warm ups

Nerves or just cold??
He swam his 2 events of the night and missed out on the metals by mere 10ths of a second.  There is always tomorrow.

Saturday was going to be a long day starting at 8:00.  I was going to officiate the Masters Meet.  This is for ages 18 and up.  No age restrictions!!!  We had swimmers from 18 to 83 swimming this morning.  They were amazing to watch as they swam with everything they had to the very end.  Afterwards they all were so grateful for us volunteering and helping them out.  It was a great example to Ryder that swimming can be a life long sport for him.

It was a lot of fun and chlorine swirling around.  I have now completed 15.5 hours of official's training.  I am hoping to finish by the first short course meet in the fall.
