This year was a week later and dang it should have been earlier. The weather has turned really chilly and in the amphitheater it was down right cold. The kids had been there all day and claimed it had been warm all day. Lucky for us I have extra blankets in the back of the van and everyone but Dave brought a jacket.
Ryder found us seats down in front and everyone was ready to start.
Getting ready to start. 10 elementary school choirs. Thank goodness kids don't get cold. |
Props this year. Too bad we were down front and missed the effect of the plates. |
Do they look cold to you?? Dancing and actions chases the chills away. |
Happy but with a head down front blocking the perfect picture. |
Flowers for our girl. She requested roses, but we brought tulips instead. Dave & I had to be sneaky to surprise her and she was. |
Reganne & Kiah Bundling up and ready to dash to the van. |
Anyone that knows me knows that I follow in my Dad's footsteps when it comes to crowds and driving home. My method is to wait until the crowd clears out and then make a straight shot home. Not tonight it was a mad dash to the van, turn on the heater, turn on a movie, and wait in the crowded parking lot as we slowly made it home.
As the kids left the stage the each gave the choir director hugs and told her they would be back next year. This means the school year is quickly coming closer to ending. Ryder's count was 45 days. I am ready for the sun but not for bored kids.
