Let the Wind Blow

When Spring comes to St George so does the wind. Which was perfect for the annual Kite Festival. This is held each year at Sun River Golf Course. Each school age child can earn a free kite by reading each day for at least 15 minutes. Rylee was so excited to finally get her own kite. She worked really hard and is starting to read pretty good on her own. I am amazed at how well for only being 6. However, the winds were blowing so hard that we were unable to fly her kite.
So instead her and Reganne rode the little train around the golf course. Reganne wasn't so sure about it, but once she sat by Rylee she was all smiles.
Ryder has had a rough week. His second tooth has decided to come in as well. So he has been miserable. Along with the tooth he started coughing and lost his voice. He looks at you with sad eyes and wants to be held. He loves to be outside with the girls and dad. He was standing there chatting away to whoever would listen.

It's been rather windy here as well. I've decided I don't like blustery days. Though, they do make for good kite flying. We should do that as we have a big park next door. Thanks for the idea!

Oh my! I can't believe he stands by himself. That is so neat. I predict he will be walking by 10 months. Rachel refuses to even put her feet down when we try. She laughs and laughs, but will not stand up. It is kind of cute.
