Splash-a-Thon / Lights Out Lock In

It's that time of year again to start fundraising for swim team.  We had participated in various fundraising events this past year but it was the home stretch with a swim-a-thon with all the kids.  Ryder was anxious to get started, finish, and get food.  Time to get started swimming.

They are off
Some going fast, some steady, and even a few that swam a little here and there.

Oops teenager memory lapse
Everyone needed to bring a counter with them.
I needed to count for another team member.
Ryder pounded thru and finished in under 1 hour.
Time for food and a quick nap.
Before spending the night at the rec center with Lights Out Lock In.

Exhausted!!
He was wide awake and ready to greet the day.
However, as soon as he sat down and buckled up.
He was asleep.

When he finally woke up it was once again time to eat.  He had a great time hanging out with everyone.  Until next year when we can do it all over again.

Final note he had the best time for his team.  Steady swimming wins the race.
