Saying Goodbye

To Grandpa Chris was not an easy thing to do.  He has been a huge presence in our lives for the past 15 years.  We are headed North for the funeral on Saturday.  This is the one time I am grateful for teenagers not having to worry about trick or treating.  Since it was early out Friday we left after school let out for the day.  We had to be in Springville by 5:00 for the viewing.

Funeral Program
This is a good picture of him.

Great to be with family.
Darryl, KrisAnn, and Bryan

Saturday morning arrived a little early for me.  We need to be there early to meet with the mortuary & bishop before the viewing started.

Amazing how much family,
friends, and neighbors came to say goodbye.
Most important giving support to each other.

Hugs from Bryan & Randy

Sibling Picture
Way too many years since our last one.

Adding Mom and a few spouses

Brothers minus one.
Where did Randy wander off to?

Graveside Service

Pallbearers
The girls had bets who was going to trip and fall first.
Surprise!!  Nobody did.

Family

Grandsons
Maybe a little overwhelmed.

The ice broke with Uncle Bryan.
Time to braid his hair.

Grandma on a mission.
Reganne & I had a hard time keeping up with her.

Side trip to visit Grandpa Roy's grave.

Family dinner
Ryder was excited for funeral potatoes & ham.

There were even empty tables.

It was a wonderful service with many friends and family paying their respects.  Most important was eating food food, visiting with family, and finding time to breathe after a crazy couple of weeks.  We are going to miss Grandpa but know he is out of pain and suffering no more.

We are headed home tonight due to work schedules and teaching assignments.
