Getting Out of Town

We had had a whole lot of swimming this summer.  This weekend ends the long course season with one final meet Beehive Championship Meet in Sandy at the Cottonwood Heights Aquatic Center.  It's a bright an early checkin time of 6:30am.  A meet that early means one thing it ends early as well.

We were ready for some fun and family time.  Our first stop was Brandon & Kim's house.  They had a busy time remodeling their house.  They also expanded their family with weddings and a new grand baby.  It was also lunch time and we all were definitely hungry.

Dave & Boston
Zac & Bree did an amazing job.
This cutie melted our hearts.

Even Grandma JeanAnn got her turn
holding the baby.
Ryder however wanted food!!!

After a long lunch at Olive Garden catching up with how everyone is doing and getting to spend time with Trevor as well.  Ryder's tummy was now full but his energy level was off the charts.  It was time for some play.  Motorized race cars on an inside track was definitely a must.  We found the place with a little help from Google Maps.  Deja Vu moment this is were the aquarium was located on our first visit.

Waiting to race.

They are up!!!

Moving way too fast for this mom.

The final score
on race one.
They are ready for a rematch.

Walk with a purpose
His car died or he killed it not sure.
Time for a new one.

Second race the sound a Mom doesn't want to hear a loud crash.  Looking up just in time to see Ryder's car bounce off the cement pole.  3 car wreck and nobody was moving.  What seemed like forever but was only probably 5 minutes or less the workers were there sorting the cars out.  Soon Ryder was off again as were the other cars.  After the race I was anxious to check him over.  He being all boy brushes me off and laughs that I was nervous.  He exclaimed that was great!!!

I don't know about anyone else but I was exhausted and ready to relax.  Tomorrow's session starts again at 6:30.
