Memorial Day 2020

Where to go and what to do?  Utah has updated to yellow status which means we can move around a little bit more.  This also means that people from out of town are welcome as well.    Not sure this is a good idea but it's time to be brave and do our best to stay healthy.  

What better place to get fresh air, social distance, and have family time than the lake.  We headed out early or so we thought.  Pulling into Sand Hollow and what is now a 4 way stop being patrolled by the sherifs department.  The line stretched in all 4 directions.  We were the last boat to make it in before they closed the gates.

It was really windy.....

We lasted about an hour the winds were picking up and I hadn't even taken off my sweatshirt.  It has been years since I wore a sweatshirt to the lake.  We were going to head home and have a movie afternoon instead.

Sunday drive time... Let's head to Zions for  relaxing drive through the park.  NOPE!!! The lines stretched forever and once again the park was closed.  The ranger said try back in about an hour.

Once they started looking around other cars
soon followed.  Time to try the park again or head home.

30 minutes later we were driving through the park with the top down.  The sun and slight breeze felt great as we slowly moved along the road.

Let's take the long way home.

Going through the tunnels to the other side towards Kanab.  Kanab was nice and sleepy it being Sunday not much was open.  We ate lunch in a little park.  It was time to head home for the night.  Monday was our day to relax and re-coop before starting all over again on Tuesday.

It is officially summer vacation..... Let the party begin or rather this is month 3 of a longer vacation that none of us signed up for.  Stay safe & healthy.
