The Big Day - Part Three - Getting Ready

I walked into a crazy house in full on wedding chaos.  The groom and groomsmen are all downstairs getting all dressed up.  The bride and bridesmaids have taken over my bathroom.  I was greeted with a shirt that needed to be ironed, a lost tie,  and the best a fully hemmed bridesmaid dress,  Grandma JeanAnn worked her magic.  She patiently worked away while I ran crazy all day.  It would never had been finished in time if it had been left up to me.

Rylee & Johnny

She looks amazing

What would she do without
all the extra help from her friends.

Everything is under control.
She loved all the attention

Dad & Daughter Moment
Dave trying to hold it together.

Taking time for a special moment.
He bought her a compact with a special
message engraved on it.

Ryder & Dave
Can't tell they are father & son?
They looked great all dressed up.

Thank goodness I was behind the camera.  I spared a few minutes to put myself together.  It's amazing to see everything fall into place.  Rylee's hard work over the past 10 months is really paying off.  She looks like a princess on her special day.

Time to find our seats....

The Big Day - Part Two - Decorating

We are in full wedding mode and all have our individual assignments. The only thing not running late was the city.  They called and begged us to meet them earlier. They were double schedule to meet a different group on the other side of town.  We gladly accepted and jumped into action.  Divide and conquer is our motto.

No one is allowed to touch
the corvette.

Somebody didn't listen.

BUSTED!!
The chalk markers were melting in the sun.
Let's hope it is still legible tonight.

FINALLY!
The missing delivery truck finally showed up.

Butterfly Table
Thanks to Blake & Julie for being willing
to pitch in and help us out.

Chair Setup
Hopefully, everyone shows up to
fill these up.

One for each seat.
No rice, instead little bags of rose petals
Do you throw it or keep it?
Personal choice

Wedding Cake
Simple, beautiful, and very elegant.

Everything looks amazing.  Rylee did an amazing job planning this special day.  Time to. head home and get everyone ready for the grand finale. I needed to head home and make sure everyone has what they need to make it perfect for Rylee & Ruston.  I may even sneak a few minutes to get myself ready.

The Big Day - Part One - The Morning

Not sure how much sleep everyone got last night.  The alarm went off, how many times can you press snooze before the days activities start creeping in as well as the light of day.  My job today is keeping up with her and keep everything running smoothly.

First order of business getting her hair done.  It is the day to get pampered.

First up... hair.

She did an amazing job.
Not too much poof just right.

First hitch of the day. Actually started last night with a text from her schedule makeup artist cancelling.  She had a sick child and couldn't make it.  She did give Rylee a name of a backup.  However, the backup did respond very quick so the anxiety started to rise. Ding!!! the backup responded and was able to meet her at the needed time.

Going over the details

She started to work.

Verifying a natural look.
It's hard to stay focused while watching my baby
looking so beautiful.

Learned a new trick.
Spray sunscreen give you a natural glow + sparkles

Setup!!
Everyone showed up to setup and decorate.  Another hitch reared its ugly head.  No chairs, tablecloths, or sound system.  Scheduled for delivery at 12:00.  The receptionist couldn't give us an update only that everything was loaded and on its way from Hurricane.  The window of delivery was no later than 2:00. 2:00 came and slowly passed and still nothing.  The truck rolled in closer to 3:00 tension is mounting .  Everyone quickly pitched in and soon everything was ready.  Time to head home to get everyone ready and back for the ceremony at 4:00.

Stay tuned.....Do we make it?

Rehearsal Dinner

The wedding festivities are starting whether we are ready or not.  My buckle is starting to come loose on this crazy ride.  I am just hoping that I don't fall out and get run over.  We needed food for everyone thank goodness everyone loves pizza and cookies.

Ruston's friends

Johnny & Athena

Grandma, Ryder, and Maddie

Listen and follow instructions
Rylee has everything planned out.

Completed the run through.

Still smiling
Even though the craziness was ramping up.

Time for some rest and relaxation.  NOT!! Instead get out of the way as the craziness was only getting started.  Finally, the house was quiet and everyone was falling asleep.  We are all praying that everything goes as planned without anymore speed bumps.

Good Night!!!

Wedding Prep

We are days away from the main event.  There are a million little details that still need to be worked out and finished.  Are we going to make it?  That is the question of the week.  I keep reminding everyone that the only thing that really matters is they show up and say I do.  The rest is all extra frosting on the wedding cake.

Text message alert.
Rylee is prepared and moving forward.

Gifts
Thank you notes that will need to sent.

I was on a mission to find the right color
of paper goods.  Each store had just a few in stock of black & white.
I decided to try the dollar store (1.25 store now)
BINGO!!
Found everything + napkins in the wedding colors.

Reganne's Maid of Honor Dress
It needed to be hemmed.
I was running out of time to finish it.  Thank goodness Grandma JeanAnn showed
up early and was able to take over for me and finish it.

Hopefully, we will all find time to sleep over the next few day.  I am already exhausted and running on fumes.  Emotions are also blasting everyone in sight.

Buckle Up!! Hang on!!

This ride isn't stopping for anyone.

The Big 18!!

Happy Birthday Reganne!! It's one of the huge milestone birthdays that everyone looks forward to.  Reganne is excited for more freedom and the many adventures she has planned. It's hard to believe it's been 18 years since bringing her home from the hospital with a full head of black curls. She also share her day with her Great Grandma Johnson.

Reganne Approved!!
Including her 2 new geckos.

Ryder treated her to breakfast
They skipped 1st period as well.

Celebrated with her friends.

Honk sign
from the young woman.

Dinner at Olive Garden
She refuses to show her face.

Another patron stepped in
and quickly took another picture.
Captured all the smiles.

Time to light the candles.
The birthday girl loves to light them.
Make a wish...

Presents
She even got a few things she really wanted.
A soft snuggly bathrobe

Countdown begins...
Next year with Reta and gecko friends.

We really tried to make it her day special.  One problem the wedding planning keeps creeping into the conversations.  Hopefully, one day she will forgive us of that as well.  We all love this crazy lizard loving girl with the biggest heart ever. She has big plans for the future with the determination to make them happen.

Snippets of September

Come along for a final round up of September's crazy photos of a whole lot of activities..

Ryder & Friends
Checking out the new Big Shots Golf Grand Opening
I believe everyone had a great time.

Puppy Escape Artist
Indy is crazy give her a tiny opening
and
she will crawl through.
She is growing so getting stuck now is usually the result.

Multicultural Club Event
Not sure how to react to the invite.
However, Reganne had some interest and tacos sounded good.

They looked amazing
Family group text when wild making us all hungry
and a little jealous.

New treat
I love candy corn in all its varieties.
This was a must try.
Yummy!!
Definitely buying again.

Maid of Honor Dress
She looks beautiful
One problem it needs to be hemmed.
It's a full circle skirt which means a whole lot of time.
I had better find the time or we could be in trouble.

Dirty kitchen
Sent this to the family group text.
Demanding that everyone needs to step up
and clean up their messes.
Demanding didn't work, I need more ideas.

September was crazy busy and October is going to be even busier.  I definitely need to take my fruits & veggies to make to the finish line.
