First Photo Dump from Zones

The meet has started with warmups this morning. It's really quiet as everyone is slowly waking up.

They are warmed up
and waiting for the meet to start.

Can you tell he is excited?
Me neither he hides it well.

Dave has his spot staked out
for this session.

Coach Mike Challenge
Meet, talk to, and take a picture
of someone from another team.
One picture down.

Competitive spirit
has kicked into high gear.
It's warming up

Another chilly morning
He definitely won't need the sweatshirt
in a couple of hours.

Something different for lunch.
Lebanese Food

Kids Meal
The steak kabob was so tender.

Still trying to complete
Coach Mike's challenge

A little begging
They turned around for a quick picture.

Team Dinner
Another local spot for some BBQ.
Yummy for sure.

Time to relax, watch some Olympics, and get plenty of sleep. It's another busy day tomorrow.

On the Road Again

Monday morning bright and early we are on the road again. Today is a travel day with a quick practice later to keep those muscles warmed up.

Team Unity
Everyone dyed their hair pink.
How long it will last with chlorine is anyone's guess.

Quick stop at the Orthodontist.
Quick checkup on the retainers.
His teeth look amazing.

Rylee's arm looks really sore.
She went flying with Ruston and has the proof
she survived.

We made it to Fresno
and the Clovis pool.

Hotel room
ready for some sleep
and let the fun start.

Everyone made it to the pools for a quick practice, dinner, and then get plenty of rest. The next 5 days are going to tough. The kids can do it. Time to sleep or watch the Olympics while everyone else sleeps.

Take A Peek

Into the crazy week between state championships and zone championships. It has been years since we have gone out of town for longer than 3-4 days. How to prepare for a longer trip I am not sure. Here goes!

Stabbed by a toenail?
Only in swim is this possible.

Laundry explosion
We do need clothes for the week.
I had better get started on that pile.

We have a visitor
Miss Ava came for a couple of hours.
While Reganne & Destiny went shopping for dresses.

Not many toys here
But a whole lot of plastic lids, cups, and other cooking stuff
found in a drawer.

Ava's favorite spot
They were watching cartoons.

Let's teach Ranger
what a leash is for.
No way not happening.
He wouldn't even jump into the truck to go for a ride.

Ryder & Ranger
Hanging out this afternoon.

Miss Indy couldn't be left out.

Reganne, Reta, Destiny, and I
We went to hear Reta's farewell talk.
She attends the Samoan Ward which is mostly in Samoan.
Thankfully, Reta spoke in English so we could understand.
She will be serving in Samoa for the next 18 month.

I am exhausted and we haven't even left yet. I am hoping that everything is ready to go tomorrow morning. Ryder's plan is to leave bright and early by 8:00 when the team leaves. Better get some rest to survive the next week.

A Whole Lot of Flags

Bring your own or buy one at the event. It's time for the Trump Train to come to Washington County. We talked Ryder into coming along. However, he was not getting out of the Hummer no matter what. Time to line up at Dixie Tech...

Attaching the flags
Dave had it all planned and was ready to go.

Chaos

The flags are gently blowing
in the breeze

Another angle

Still chaos
Where does the line start?

Slowly moving
down the Boulevard.

They had a great turn out with over 100 vehicles. The downside is we didn't have a copy of the route. We followed blindly along for what seemed forever. Only an hour. This one wasn't as well planned as the previous one maybe next time.

Time to head home and get out of the heat.

2024 Long Course Senior Championships

The hard work this season is paying off we are headed to 2024 LC Senior Championships held in Kearns. It's going to be three very busy days.

Nutrition is very important
for a swimmer.
Pizza Factory is the best place to load up on carbs.

Across the table
getting my vegetables in for the challenge.
It is getting a little bit easier to eat more.

Good morning poolside
It looks like it's going to be a hot one today.

Ha Ha!!
Parents always find a way to embarrass their teenagers.
Claire was a good sport. She didn't collapse into a puddle of embarrassment.

Relay setup
Everyone getting organized.

Group photo

Coach Mike pep talk.
Love how the kids listen to every detail.

Meet Creeper!?!
This man showed up every day put his lounge chair in front of our team.
There he stayed, slept, and swam for 3 days.
He wasn't anyones relative.
We were on high alert to keep an eye on him.

Finally, the final session

My Cheat Treat!!
Leatherby's Hot Fudge Sundae
I enjoyed the whole thing!!

Welcome home!!
The greeting committee

Piper found her spot
and wasn't leaving it.

It was a great meet full of a lot of excitement. The kids worked so hard to participate and the worked even harder for the final meet of the season. Ryder was riding high when he received a zones qualifying time in the 200 IM. This was the goal he set in August. It was awesome to see his hard work paying off for him.

Relaxing Week

NOPE!! Who am I kidding that isn't even a word I would use ever to describe life right now. Check out these small windows into the craziness.

Another try

This time they turned out
really good.
Fluffy, elastic, and tasted good on day two.

BON Movie Afternoon
Inside Out 2
This was for everyone that helped out on the
4th of July.
Yummy popcorn, other team members, and a good movie.
I really enjoyed the look inside the mind of a teenage girl.

Look who is growing.
Big Boy is now bigger than Miss Indy.
She is still the boss.

A Big Wheel?
It's been years since I have seen one of these.
Even all decked out.

Deep in discussion
About cars of course.

Cedar City Main Street
Packed full of people and a large variety of entries
There is definitely something for everyone.
Side note...It's not any cooler here than at home.

It's definitely time a Sunday afternoon nap. Time to recharge my batteries.
