Another busy week with Christmas Vacation starting next week.

They have improved so much in the past 8 weeks.

My camera skills not so much in getting a close up.

This one lasted a 1/2 hour with each group preforming 3 numbers each.

Only a couple of school days remain.  The kids are ready to be out of school for the year.  I am not so sure I am ready for the to be home all day.  Let's hope we all survive to ring in the new year together.

Sunday Family Dinner

Time for family dinner it's Sunday evening and everyone is home.  I have a surprise for everyone afterwards.

She is home and smiling.

Maybe even a little hungry.

Had to make another batch of fudge

and Chex Mix (tried popcorn) not a favorite.

Won't be adding it again.

Now is the time for the surprise.....Decorating the Christmas Tree

when everyone helps.

I loved that they got it done.  There were a few more discussions than I would have like but the end results looked great.  I have a few more decorations to put up around the house to call it good.

This week has been really cold but not much else in the weather.  See Pine Valley Mountain in the background it still has snow on it.  Let's get geared up for another busy week.

 

2021 SUSA IMX Meet

December 10th and another swim meet.  This is our clubs annual IMX Meet with clubs coming from all over the state as well as Nevada.  This year is a whole lot better with spectators being allowed into pool.  We are lucky to have other clubs officials also participating.

The kids are ready to jump in and get the show on the road.  This is also the first meet to have relay teams to qualify for state as well.

Another take off.

His hard work is paying off and improving his times.  The downside to this pool is when they are cheering the noise level is off the charts.

I didn't officiate Saturday so I was able to watch and cheer for him.  His new goal is to qualify for more events by March.

 

2021 Dixie Stampede Winter Championship

This is the year for new adventures in swimming.  There are more clubs looking for venues that will allow competitions DSU is one that has opened up their doors.  Ryder had qualifying times to participate and I have the qualifications to be a stroke & turn judge.  This meet is going to replace the  San Diego Meet during Christmas vacation.

December 3rd arrives and the kids are ready to swim.

It was a three day meet with prelims in the morning and in the evening.  Ryder qualified as an alternate on Friday night.  Then made finals on Saturday & Sunday.  After much discussion on Sunday morning we decided that Sundays are not something we want to participate in going forward.  It is exhausting swimming that many days in a row and then go to school on Monday.  He did swim really well and is working towards his state times.
