DHMS School Play

Rylee surprised us all by auditioning for the school play after Christmas Break.  She couldn't contain her excitement being involved once again with all things theater.  She did get the part she auditioned for but that included all the lines she needed to memorize.  Thank goodness the performance with 6 weeks away.

Speed forward 6 weeks later to opening night.  There were a few nerves and some anxiety but everyone said she did awesome.  There were a few technical glitches and everyone survived.

Friday was the night we picked to go and we couldn't wait for show time.  The theater slowly filled up with parents, grandparents, and friends supporting each other.

Being patient with Mom's phone.
The evil eye didn't even phase her.
The hero's sidekick.

Maybe solving the crime...Where's the villain?
Oops!!! that's him in the white hat.

Applause and final curtain call.

Hanging with friends
enjoying rootbeer floats and crazy friends.

The kids did a great job most of them having been performing together since 6th Grade.  They have all really grown and developed some amazing skills.  Mr Robinson has been a great teacher for Rylee helping her gain confidence in her abilities and creating a safe place to go every day it needed.

Let's hope she continues to develop this amazing gift she has.
