Game 2: Elbows & Knees

Game two came with enough time for team pictures.  Blue Angels -1 not to bad for a Saturday afternoon game.  The boys were eager to get started.  Before kickoff they were wrestling and tackling each other.  This would prove to be an interesting game.  One parent commented that maybe they should be playing football instead.  What else do 4 and 5 year old boys do but rough house with each other when they are together for longer than 5 minutes.

Learning to kick the ball...Ryder does really well with this skill.
 Let's go this way.
The one skill he hasn't learned yet is getting in the middle of the pack and kicking the ball.  He would rather hang back and wait for it to come to him.
 He will chase it.
This week elbows were flying along and even a little bit of tackling from both teams.  Ryder stayed away from it and began to hang back even further.

The boys had fun and were all talking about what they would do the next game.  I love hearing them talk to each other and making friends.  No practice this week, but they were instructed to practice at home kicking the ball and getting more aggressive with the ball.

Who knows what will happen next week??
