We all know how this saying ends. Rylee sang it constantly on Monday and I asked her since when has Mrs. Slack gave her a dirty look. No reply just a puzzeled look and then asked what was a dirty look?
School is out for the summer. I am not sure what the kids were looking forward to more. Their letters from the principal with their new teachers, swimming/water field trips, or the class parties.
The weather cooperated with the kindergarten water day. The kids played and had so much fun with all the water. Reganne asked when first grade started. If kindergarten ended on Tuesday, did first grade start on Wednesday? No, you have a vacation in between. YEAH!!!
Rylee's last days in third grade were filled with parties, fun activites, and treats. One mom made t-shirts for the Super (Mrs) Slack 3rd Graders. They were able to sign each others shirts.
Rylee & Dacoda Wheeler waiting patiently for me to pick them up. Trying so hard not to sneek a peek at their letters. They couldn't resist getting a look.
No more school until August 15th. Summer Fun begins......

Another Ponytail Bites The Dust
It's hard to believe that 18 months has gone by since the girls last cut their hair to donate. The past couple of weeks or maybe even longer we have really struggled with long hair. It gets into the food, their eyes, their mouth, and just plain snarly from wearing it down. After one tear filled night I pulled out the measuring tape to check for 8 inches of length. Amazing both girls had 8 inches with not much to spare. Rylee was excited to cut hers. Reganne wasn't so sure and we had to do alot of talking to convince her that she really did need it cut.
Monday arrived and Dave took everyone for the monthly haircut night. I met them shortly afterwards but to late for the first cut.
Now comes the drying time and then off in the mail to Pantene Beautiful Lengths. I am proud of the girls for willingly going along with me. They have enjoyed the shorter hair this week with only a brush and a little water.

Spring Soccer: The Orange Blossoms
The final game of the season dawned full of sunshine and blue skies. It was a great day for soccer. The girls were anxious to play. This week it was 4 on 4 to make sure everyone played as much as possible. The Orange Blossoms were ready to go and off we went.
The chase was on.
Darn Goal couldn't it be just a little bigger? The ball kept going wide just missing the net.

High Fives and Trophies for everyone. A great season with great coaches.
Bella, Angel, Ellie, Savannah, Taylor
Coach Oscar, Coach Nick, and Reganne
Her birthday is seven days away and the she will be 6. She wanted to celebrate with all her soccer friends.
Soccer season is over for the summer. We only wish that summer would come so we can do warm weather activities. Reganne can't wait for soccer to start again in the fall.

Spring Soccer: The Red Blaze
Soccer morning started early this week at 9:00 with alot of energy. We played The Red Blaze. They are a really good team with good skills. The coaches asked Reganne to play defense and she promply replied that she didn't know how to play defense and wanted to take a rest. After half time she jumped right in and started playing defense. She just didn't know it was called that.

Reganne's Kindergarten Program
Surprise the school year is about over and time for the annual Kindergarten Program. How much they have changed over the past 9 months. Watching them walk in and perform with confidence today versus the first day of school was amazing. The credit goes to the wonderful teachers who work with them all year. Brown Bear, Brown Bear was done in sign language everyone did it. They sang the Alphabet song so loud you could hear them down the hall.
Kindergarten Friends waiting to begin.
Can we start yet?? Who knew that my child would be on the back row since she is one of the tallest kids in her class.

A Week In Review
This week was eventful so here is quick glance at some highlights.
Yesterday as I am sitting at the computer catching up on email, bills, and whatever else has found it's way to the desk. Rylee comes screaming in the house for me to bring toilet paper quick. All I could think of that Ryder was bleeding or worse pooped outside. I grabbed a handfull and ran out to the swingset. The sight I was greeted with Ryder standing there with his pants around his ankles and a big smile. He was watering the flowers. I had to stop myself from laughing since Rylee was looking at me in disgust. They were swinging when Ryder annouced he was going to water the flowers. Rylee told him that he couldn't because he didn't have a hose. He promptly replied that yes he did, dropped his pants, and started to pee. I knew this day was coming since Dave showed him how when we were camping.

Mother's Day last weekend was awesome the kids spoiled me with hugs, kisses, and things they had made for me. Dave gave me a cleaning lady to help me with the house. My dirty little secret is I hate cleaning my shower. No matter how much I scrub it never comes sparkling clean. So it has dropped down on my list of musts each week. Toilets rank a close second. Dave asked me if I would like someone to come in and help out. I shouted with joy. If she would deep clean the kitchen and bathrooms I would be in heaven. She did a walk through and no surprise she wrote on her bid that the master shower needed extra attention.
Cleaning day arrived and when I came home for lunch she was busy cleaning and quickly told me that it would take sometime before I could really see the difference. However, when I came home that night I was greeted by the sight of a sparkling shower. I haven't stopped smiling since. Too bad I don't have a before and after shots.

Sheriff's Office Fiesta Party
Soccer practice was cancelled this week. The Sheriff's Dept was having a Spring Fiesta for the whole department. Coach Oscar invited the Ladybug's to come and have fun. There was wonderful food, pinatas, and games to play. Who knew when we arrived that we would now so many people and the kids each found a friend to play with.

Weekend Camping Trip
It is Dave's weekend off and time for a quick camping trip to the Arizona Strip. We were looking for a quiet place with nobody around. We found it south of town under 20 miles away. Beautiful weather and we only saw about 5 cars in the distance.
Ryder brought his truck and borrowed Dave's shovel to play in the dirt.
Dinner of hot dogs and chips.

Time again to play with the Astronaut Man and what him fly.
Homeward bound... The technology bug has bitten the girls. Rylee has her mp3 player on listening to her music. Reganne playing the gameboy a friend gave us. Ryder didn't feel too good he had a bad belly.

It was a great overnight adventure. The weather is heating up and camping will become limited to cooler places.

Happy Birthday to Me
Turing 45 this year really was a fun birthday. All thanks to my three kids. They are so into celebrating birthdays, holidays, and everything in between. Reganne wanted to know if I was having a birthday party. I told her no. Why she asked is there a rule that parents didn't have parties. Before I could respond she promptly told me that I need to break that rule and have a party. So party we did just as a family. First came dinner of my choice at Texas Roadhouse which everyone loves. The girls were quick to tell the staff that it was my birthday and they wanted the saddle. I told them I was to big. They replied no you aren't that man over there sat on it. Afterwards it was home for presents and birthday brownies.
Reganne....bought one of my favorites chocolates.
Ryder had to help unwrap his... A smelly candle that he wanted to take to school for show and tell. Rylee bought me perfume in a pretty bottle. Dave gave me a silver ring very pretty.

It was a great day with many well wishes from friends and family by phone calls and facebook. I really enjoyed my day. It's fun to celebrate, but I will keep it to once a year.

Springtime Picnic
We have been so busy the past couple of weeks running back and forth from activities. We needed some downtime to play. After soccer we ran our errands and ended with a picnic at the park. Every day Ryder asks if we can stop and play at Harmon's Park. The sunshine felt great. However, the wind didn't.
The picnic ended way to soon with everyone needing a bathroom break. Even though we only stayed for about 45 minutes it was long enough to relax.

Easter 2011: Colored Eggs & Ice Cream
The kids begged this year to try and color eggs. I am not sure exactly why we haven't done it in years past. Maybe the mess, wasting the eggs, or lack of interest. So I bought the stuff and decided to try it out. The kids had a blast each one trying something different with their alloted eggs. We only had one mishap that resulted in a broken egg. I knew we were in trouble when the kids were fascinated by peeling the egg, but refused to eat it.
