Headed home

The backseat of the truck is not comfortable after 12 hours of driving

Plus smelly teenage boy feet.

I had a few tears as we drove away. I know she will be fine even great in fact. My sadness is maybe she won't need me as much. So I remind her that I am just a phone call away.

The ride home was long, hot with the a/c on the blink in the truck. Thank goodness we still have 2 days left of the holiday weekend.
