Either word you choose means a whole lot of work. Reganne talked about updating her bedroom to a more grown up look and feel. Dave loves all things related updated, remodeled, or refreshed. Dave's eyes start to twinkle with excitement. Reganne eagerly starts cleaning out her room.
It's been a week
The room isn't empty but the garage is quickly filling up.
WOW!!
The room is cleaned out, painted, and ready to clean the carpets.
Dave & Ryder were anxious to get this knocked out.
Reganne had slowed down and they took over.
What should we name it?
My job was to rack the carpet before trying to vacuum.
It's crazy this all came from one person.
Looks good
Time to start the redecorating.
New furniture
What is in the box and why is it on the bed?
Who knew that you can buy a mattress
on line? Not me that's for sure.
I am not totally convinced.
WOW!!
15 minutes later ready for sheets.
Paint?
One thing I have learned over the past 7 years with teenagers.
That changing their minds is to expected.
I got a call to look at more paint. Reganne wasn't sure about the color and her plans.
She bought samples to try. She bought new paint and set out to do it her way.
Loved her taking control. The whole process drove Dave crazy.
She is ready to sleep there tonight.
Looks great
There is still work to do. I am eager to see
what she comes up with.
Ryder was feeling a little left out
He bought a new comforter for his bed.
I think I spotted new paint as well.
That adventure hasn't been tackled yet.
This adventure has been more fun that I thought it would. Strong wills aside, watching them develop their own personalities made this worth it. Hopefully, with them making the decisions will help keep their rooms cleaner. To much to hope for? Possibly, but it is possible.
