What A Weekend

How much stuff can you cram into a weekend before you look forward to Monday to relax. This was one of those weekends.

dancing and having fun. Soon everyone in the group was enjoying the craziness.

Soon the cookies were gone and I saw smiles. If only for a short time.

Senior Swim Night

A fun night for the parents to celebrate our swimmers at the end of short course season. This group of kids are always busy with swimming, school, jobs, swimming, eating, swimming. Tonight it's all about the eating!!

M&M Salad

What happens when you see something crazy on social media. 

Then trying it.

A few kids were brave enough to give it a try. Other's chuckled and I went home with

a bowl of M&M Salad.

I sure enjoyed it!!

It will probably last a couple of months. There is no other salad that can compete with that.

This group of kids have supported each other through every practice, meet, and road trip. They only have a couple months of school left and they will be moving on and away. Missions, college, or jobs. Let's hope they don't forget that chlorine runs through their veins.

Time SUSA Time Trials

Special invite Monday morning meet final time to qualify for championship meets in the coming months.  It's also a holiday weekend. Rise and shine to chlorine let's get the show on the road. I was surprised when Ryder announced he was going so of course we were off. Brought my official clothes but not needed after all. Instead I was going to time since there was only 4 and you need 8.

No official times to report at this final meet. The computers, clocks, and timing pads all were having issues. This turned into a much longer meet than promised. Time for lunch and back to work for me. No qualifying times for Ryder this year.  He plans to keep working hard and making it next year.  Or long course is coming and more hard work.

Boys Trip

Son like father, 2 peas in a pod, the apple doesn't fall too far from the tree, and any other phrases that describe a father & son team. This is never more true than Ryder & Dave. They both love anything with wheels and the thrill of looking for great deals. Ryder found one in Phoenix.

They had a great time together on a 24 hour trip. The adventure is just getting started with flipping cars. Watch for updates on this new venture.

A New Month...February

Not sure how we got to February but here we are.

Have You Ever...

Tried anything new? Tried something different? or tried a new adventure?  We stepped out of our comfort zone for just a little while. Not sure if it was all successful, but it was fun to see what happens.

One of my primary kids talked about a yummy treat that her older sister made.

I though I knew what I was doing and it sounds yummy.

Failed attempt with the brownie on top and not cooking all the way through.
