If Ryder has his way it will also be his First Last Day of high school. He is working to graduate to graduate a year early. He continues to surprise us daily with the goals he is setting and the hard work he puts into achieving each one.

How Busy Are We?

Busy enough that I am tired just looking at these pictures makes me even more tired. Maybe a smile or 2 as I remember the adventures we are having.

A wet Miss Indy
Thanks to Ryder who gave her a bath
without being asked.
I don't think she appreciated it one bit.

Ryder snagged Ranger as well.
Claimed they both smelled horrible.
Not sure the wet dog smell was any better.

She did love to be brushed.

Sports Cooler
that has enjoyed many a soccer game or swim meet.
Say goodbye!!

Motorcycle ride to Hurricane.

I look like an alien or a bobble head
Dave bought me a helmet.
It is really heavy.

Before
Helping Rylee decorate
after an afternoon thrifting.

After
She is slowly turning this into a home.

How often do you clean your garbage cans?
I can't remember so definitely time to scrub them down.
Everyone disappeared before I could ask for help.

Snicker Bars
Trying to bring the family together?
Everyone was really quiet on Sunday afternoon.
They slowly disappeared over the next couple of days.

No matter how busy we are the memories will remain. We need to make time for more adventures and a little less housework or yardwork.  Time to make more.

Final Day Final Pictures

Saturday is finally here with the final 2 sessions of this meet. Everyone is ready to finish and head home. First order of business is warmups.

Where did he go?
No matter how fast I snap he is out of the frame.

Weird sight
A circle of wooden cows in the middle of this field.
Darn I didn't get a good picture.

Memories!!
Ryder begged to try Weinersnitchel
after driving by a couple of days ago.

These lived up to the memories.
Ryder devoured his fair share.
The first bite brought all fun memories back.
Amazing that they tasted just like I remembered.

Fresno Temple
We finally found time to find it.

Harley Shop & Museum

Wondering!!

Getting him to stand still
for a picture is almost impossible.

Just like that the meet is over!

As the sun is setting its not really cooling down. Every swimmer was moving slower towards the parking lot. Exhaustion is a funny thing it will hit you from out of the blue. One last night of dinner, Olympics, and sleep. No alarms needing to be set tonight.

to get out of the heat.

Enjoying our popcorn
The movie not so much.

Another round of events.
While we all melt in the heat plus humidity.

Cheering for our team.
Then quickly finding the shade once again.

One more day left with only 2 sessions. The heat has been brutal not only for the spectators but the athletes as well. I'm ready to relax and watch more of the Olympics tonight while Dave & Ryder sleep.

First Photo Dump from Zones

The meet has started with warmups this morning. It's really quiet as everyone is slowly waking up.

They are warmed up
and waiting for the meet to start.

Can you tell he is excited?
Me neither he hides it well.

Dave has his spot staked out
for this session.

Coach Mike Challenge
Meet, talk to, and take a picture
of someone from another team.
One picture down.

Competitive spirit
has kicked into high gear.
It's warming up

Another chilly morning
He definitely won't need the sweatshirt
in a couple of hours.

Something different for lunch.
Lebanese Food

Kids Meal
The steak kabob was so tender.

Still trying to complete
Coach Mike's challenge

A little begging
They turned around for a quick picture.

Team Dinner
Another local spot for some BBQ.
Yummy for sure.

Time to relax, watch some Olympics, and get plenty of sleep. It's another busy day tomorrow.

On the Road Again

Monday morning bright and early we are on the road again. Today is a travel day with a quick practice later to keep those muscles warmed up.

Team Unity
Everyone dyed their hair pink.
How long it will last with chlorine is anyone's guess.

Quick stop at the Orthodontist.
Quick checkup on the retainers.
His teeth look amazing.

Rylee's arm looks really sore.
She went flying with Ruston and has the proof
she survived.

We made it to Fresno
and the Clovis pool.

Hotel room
ready for some sleep
and let the fun start.

Everyone made it to the pools for a quick practice, dinner, and then get plenty of rest. The next 5 days are going to tough. The kids can do it. Time to sleep or watch the Olympics while everyone else sleeps.

Take A Peek

Into the crazy week between state championships and zone championships. It has been years since we have gone out of town for longer than 3-4 days. How to prepare for a longer trip I am not sure. Here goes!

Stabbed by a toenail?
Only in swim is this possible.

Laundry explosion
We do need clothes for the week.
I had better get started on that pile.

We have a visitor
Miss Ava came for a couple of hours.
While Reganne & Destiny went shopping for dresses.

Not many toys here
But a whole lot of plastic lids, cups, and other cooking stuff
found in a drawer.

Ava's favorite spot
They were watching cartoons.

Let's teach Ranger
what a leash is for.
No way not happening.
He wouldn't even jump into the truck to go for a ride.

Ryder & Ranger
Hanging out this afternoon.

Miss Indy couldn't be left out.

Reganne, Reta, Destiny, and I
We went to hear Reta's farewell talk.
She attends the Samoan Ward which is mostly in Samoan.
Thankfully, Reta spoke in English so we could understand.
She will be serving in Samoa for the next 18 month.

I am exhausted and we haven't even left yet. I am hoping that everything is ready to go tomorrow morning. Ryder's plan is to leave bright and early by 8:00 when the team leaves. Better get some rest to survive the next week.
