A Lazy Crazy Saturday

Enjoying the sugar & sun.

It has been a long long time since we have had a lazy Saturday.  Lazy as far as no sports, activities, or appointments of some sort.  Today Reganne was the only one with a plan to hang out with her friend Grace.  

After cleaning and scrubbing the house it was time for a treat.  I had to convince them to check out the Maverick in town.  Everyone had bragged about how cool it was at work on Friday.  So we just had to check it out.  

Surprise!!! it wasn't any different than the other ones in town.  Except, maybe the homeless man in the parking lot smiling at the kids.  We got our treats headed home.

It is never a dull moment around our house with this boy.  Time for a Sunday afternoon nap and I woke up to him making goop.  Or should I say trying to make it with glue and laundry soap.  I am not sure how it was supposed to turn out but he was extremely proud of himself.

This week he took the Sunday nap and woke up with an Einstein hair do.  He was rather proud that his hair had grown so long on top.  Will he or won't he cut it all off at our next appointment?  This boy keeps us all guessing.

Happy Valentines Day!!!

Valentine's Day is always a busy one but this year even more so with our family being spread across the state.  Friday was the official day for celebration at school.

It was a great day and I loved having everyone back under one roof.  It was a good day and we will finish off the celebration with lunch on Monday.

Rage Soccer Tournament

What a busy weekend this was going to be.  It was going to be full of soccer games for Reganne & I.  Dave, Rylee, and Ryder headed North for Trevor's wedding.

This was going to be the girls first game since November that they have played together.  First team up was against the Anasazi team from St George.  They were evenly match.

Said goodbye to Dave, Rylee, and Ryder we headed out for the next game.  They needed to carb load before the next game.  Reganne begged for Jimmy Johns.  I think we are ready for the next game.

This game was really rough and not sure who put this team in the Bronze Bracket.  Reganne blocked 22 attempts and they score 4.  The whole game was played on that end of the field.  It was also getting cold and dark.  We were headed for a treat of FroYo, a movie, and a early night.

Saturday's first game dawned really early at 7:30 for game time @ 8:00.  The girls were bundled up and ready to play.

We lost again but they finally figured out defense and helped out the goalie.  Time for lunch and relax before the last game of the day at 2. Everyone will be in shorts or at least short sleeves.

Game time had arrived and so did the war paint.  They added red face paint for team work.  They demanded that Reganne needed to match them and painted her face for her.  Their goal was to keep playing as good as they did at the end of the last game.

The whistle blew and so did the flags.  The refs were really watching that everyone was playing nice.

They lost another one but their defense played really well.  Reganne had 22 attempts this game and she gave up 2.

Later as we were relaxing with pizza and another movie.  Reganne informed me that she remembered why she loves soccer to much.  IT IS FUN!!!!

It's only a couple of weeks before the spring season starts.  The girls are going to be working on offense and most important scoring.

Busy Week...

This week was crazy starting with Rylee getting her braces off, Ryder started swimming lessons, and Reganne finished Give Me Liberty.  The kids were busy but having fun.

Everyone was pooped by Saturday night and ready for a movie & pizza night.  Next week is going to be just as busy but the excitement is building for Reganne's first soccer tournament.

Time to relax and rejuvenate for more fun.

Good Morning!!!

School morning's dawn really early and a little chilly.  Trying to get everyone up and moving can be a task on a good day.  However, today wasn't go to be one of those mornings.  It was dark and chilly and I misplaced Ryder.  I had seen him get up but he disappeared.  It tried calling him without any answer.

I started to look and wonder where he went?  I finally found him.  Sound asleep curled up on the heat vent.

He finally woke up enough to eat breakfast and start teasing the girls.  Funny thing I remember curling up on the heat vent to get warm.  Too bad I am the Mom now and can't fit.

The Big Day Arrives

After 18 months of pain, agony, and sore teeth the braces are coming off.  Rylee was more than ready for this to be over and even better she got to miss PE.  I begged her to let me take her before picture and she kindly refused.  She took over my phone and started taking selfies.

The only treat she wanted was Jolly Ranchers and that wasn't included.  Retainers for life will become her new friends.  

The rough and rewarding morning was ending.  A brand new smile was perfect way to start the school day.  

Waters' Sports Weekly Update

 A busy week full of activities and Saturday was going to be a busy one full of sports.  We were first off to basketball and the final game of the season.  Once again the incentive to be early and start was on the table.  We had to make a pit stop for gas at Costco.  The notoriously long lines greeted us and in the back seat was Ryder counting the minutes.

We made it 5 minutes afterwards and with 20 minutes to wait.  The boys were running around eager to get the game started.

The game ended with another loss but they were only 2 baskets behind.  He still loves basketball and can't wait until next season.

We made a mad dash across town to check out Reganne's first scrimmage of the year.  They were playing the U12 Boys Team.  The girls gave as good as the got but too bad that they couldn't score.

New Sport
Extreme Frisbee

Across the park "Cousin" was playing a new sport that we haven't seen before.  Devon & Kayla were in town for the weekend for Extreme Frisbee.  We snuck this picture as we walked across the field.  It was amazing to watch the teams throw that small Frisbee that far and fast.  We only watched for a little while but I liked it and glad that they stopped for a visit and shared their sport with us.

The kids were pooped and it was time to go home to clean.

Medal Time!!!!

The Rage Girls finally got their medals and had a party to celebrate.  9 screaming, giggling girls having fun dancing, ping pong, and air hockey.  Too bad the night had to end early they have their first scrimmage in the morning.

These girls worked so hard their first season playing together and in a new league.  They missed first play by only 2 points.

What will spring season bring?  Hopefully, more fun time together as a team.

Pack Meeting

Ryder hasn't been able to go to Cub Scouts this month due to basketball practice being the same time.  He hadn't thought much about it until Pack Meeting and he realized he hadn't earned anything.  He glared at me and promptly told me he had to get started NOW!!!!

It was a Bear Carnival full of games & treats.  He ended the night with a yummy root beer float, popcorn, and candy bars.  A good brother he used his tickets to get popcorn for everyone at home.    He is turning into a good cub scout.
