Happy New Year!!!

It's hard to believe that Christmas is over and the new year has started. We had a good year full of activities, good health, and great family. With New Years on Sunday came our meetings changing to 11:00 . The kids were eager to finally sleep in on Sunday and not have to rush out the door. Not one of us made it to midnight, but were all tucked in our beds by 11:00. Dave has a cold/allergies which makes him really tired so no parties for us.

A new year at church means new classes & teachers. Rylee is lucky or unlucky she is in our class. Reganne started Senior Primary. Ryder moved up to CTR 5. They all seem to like their teachers and to see what friends are in their classes.


Dave tested our new camera on the tripod. Ryder's was the first picture, Rylee was next, and Reganne was last. Then came the moment for the family with the timer. Not half bad for a first try.

4th of July Celebrating

We were really excited this year to celebrate with family. Emily, Ryan, and kids came to St George for a visit and some fun in the sun. We needed to cool off after the parade and playing it was off to the splash pad.

The only way to end this holiday is with fireworks. First time in 17 years we went to the park to watch them. This was along with the strangest group of people I have ever seen gathered in one place. Not to mention various clothing options all in one place the city park.

Thanks to Uncle Ryan for buying glow sticks to pass the time until it grew dark enough to see the show.

The show started and the kids wore down. Ryder snuggled beside me covering his hears. The kids loved it. It was a great show to end the day.

4th of July - Neigborhood Parade

Where would we be with all our celebrating if we didn't start out the morning with the neighborhood parade. This year we were greet with lots of sunshine and lots of humidity. However everyone was eager to start the celebration.

SkyWest Easter Egg Hunt

This is the third or fourth annual Easter Egg Hunt for SkyWest Employees and their families. It almost didn't happen due to past years and bad feelings. At the last minute it came together much to the delight of the children. We almost didn't make it due to our early soccer game.

President's Weekend

Each year this weekend starts the exodus to Sunny St George. Each weekend our town fills ups with visitors hoping to enjoy the sun for weekend before returning home to winter weather. This year has been no different. Much to everyones surprise Friday was a gorgeous day full on sunshine and warm temperatures. Saturday we woke up to rain, wind, and cold winter weather. 5:00 pm arrived and so did the sun and mud. The skies cleared out and it promised to be a beautiful day on Sunday. Mother Nature fooled us again and we woke up to more rain.

After church we were greeted by a downpour. In the five minute drive home it started to snow. We are talking huge snow flakes that looked really pretty, but are not sticking. The snow doesn't show up in pictures. So take my word for it.

So much for sitting by the pool getting some sun. The visitors this weekend will need to come back and visit again for that.

Happy Valentines Day

The excitement has been mounting in anticipation for Valentine's Day. The girls have been talking and planning for weeks what they were going to do for their friends. The whole 3rd jumped in with everyone needing a special valentine. Much to the dismay of most of the parents they are much too young for that. They made their out their cards and add candy. They were ready come Monday morning.

They woke to this surprise hearts, candy, and a family movie. Ryder shouted for joy Santa Claus came Mom!!!! No Dad & Mom did instead.

Happy Thanksgiving 2010

It was a Happy Thanksgiving this year with plenty to be grateful for. Good food, great friends, health, and a warm house. So many more things and not enough time right now to list them. We were lucky to spend the day with our friends the Wheelers. One highlight of the day was playing Wii and learning a new game. The kids played all day.

Halloween Week: Trick or Treating

Finally !!! time for trick or treating. The kids were all ready to go. That was until Dad brought home his latest addition to the decorations. A Haunted House Blowup along with it's own music. The kids then weren't sure if they should stay or go. Maybe a quick trip around the neighborhood and then back to scare their friends.

Halloween Craft Corner

What do to with all those crafts??? I put them on display for 2 days only and a picture to remember for always.

It was a fun week full of activities. However, I am ready for it to be over. The only thing that scares me more is it's time to get ready for Christmas or at least that's what the stores want you to believe. I think we will focus more on a Quiet Thanksgiving first.

Halloween Week: Barnes & Noble Party

Barnes & Noble celebrated Halloween with a party of course. There were crafts, candy, and treats for all. The book this week was "Halloween Night" and it was the biggest crowd yet. It was followed by fun activities inside the mall. We were off once again....


The gorilla was handing out candy to all the kids. Ryder was scared at first but they soon became friends. We had to have a group picture.

Halloween Week: Rec Center Carnival

Pre Pre Halloween Day continues after stopping at SkyWest for trick or treating for employee families. From which the kids were loaded down with bags full of treats. We were off to the Washington County Rec Center for the 2nd Annual Trunk or Treat Carnival. We were greated by a long line of ghouls, witches, buzz lightyear, and fairies all eager to have fun.
