Spring Season 2012...Game 1, Big Red

Reganne's First Game of Spring started at 2:00. We had enough for a quick lunch at McDonalds, a trip home to pick up Reganne's equipment that she forgot, and finally a stop at Payless Shoes for new Sunday Sandels. We still made it in plenty of time for the game. This week they played "Big Red" this was the toughest team in fall to play. The girls were taller, quicker, and played like pros.

The game started off much the same, but much to our amazement the Pink Pirates matched them play for play and goal for goal.

Score!!! Reganne had the throw in and made it in the goal!! Can you do that? I am not sure but we all thought it was pretty cool.

Soccer End of Season Party

The perfect way to send a crazy season is to have a party. Everything seems better when you party at the end. Thanks to AYSO Board (Craig Nebeker) for having the vision. There were smiles and squeals of delight when spotting someone from their teams. We had a good crowd for swimming, pizza, cookies, and prizes.

Fall Season Game 8: Pink & Purple Pirates

Finale game of the season dawned cold and windy. So cold that the girls all dressed in layers. They were ready to play and eagerly took the field. The Purple Pirates only had three players show up so Pink Pirates gave one player to them and played four on four.

Reganne scored her first goal of the season, but she quickly reported that it was for the other team so it didn't count. We told her a goal was a goal and it was great.

It was a great season we will see everyone in the spring.

2011 Fall Soccer Game #5: The Chameleons

Saturday soccer dawned pretty early for us this week. We were the first game @ 9:00 with the weather changing this week it was started out pretty cool and slowly warmed up. Practice was rained out on Wednesday. Reganne was eager to play. This was also our first game with a Referee. It was amazing to watch the girls respond to her and follow her instructions. The respect they showed as amazing since no one warned them before the game.

2011 Fall Soccer #4: Big Red

This week's game was out late of game of the season with a start time of 11:00. The sun was high and really warm. Being the late game if other games started late you are also starting late. So by 11:15 we were ready to start. "Big Red" This is what I called them since nobody was sure of what their name actually was. It fit them pretty well. These girls played well as a team and scored many goals. Boy! and can they kick that ball. Our team wasn't sure they wanted to get to close when it came right to your face or over your head. Our team still struggles passing to each other and working together to make goals. However, they are really progressing on defense and spreading out.

2011 Fall Soccer: Purple & Pink Pirates

After a long night at the rodeo. Morning came with a flurry of activity to get ready for soccer. We made it with enought time to watch Dacoda play a part of his game. We were then off to cheer for Reganne. We were surprised to find out we were playing the same team as last week. Their star players were there and WOW!!! they were advanced players.

Game #1 the Purple ???

Soccer Saturday dawned bright and sunny a perfect day for a game at least for the first game of the morning. Opening morning can be very crazy with fields not completely marked or setup. Coaches gathering players and timid players not sure if they really want to be there. We played the Purple ?? to be named later.

It was a great first game with alot of room to grow. Goals were scored and cheers were loud and proud. By the end the girls started remembering how much they enjoyed this crazy game of soccer.

Fall Soccer

Finally it is time for soccer. Fall Season began this week with a bang. Team meeting, practice, and finally first game. Reganne is really excited to be playing again and even happier that the team color is pink. Her team this year is "The Pink Pirates" in the U08 Division of AYSO. They play on bigger fields with 5 on 5 play.

Spring Soccer: The Red Blaze

Soccer morning started early this week at 9:00 with alot of energy. We played The Red Blaze. They are a really good team with good skills. The coaches asked Reganne to play defense and she promply replied that she didn't know how to play defense and wanted to take a rest. After half time she jumped right in and started playing defense. She just didn't know it was called that.

She did really well and eventually scored 3 goals. She was hot, tired, and sweaty by the end of the game, but all smiles. She now knows that she can play defense and it isn't that bad.
