Let's See The Sights

Bright and early we headed off to Tower of London. We are both excited to see everything we can while there.

It looks huge!!

Another angle
much darker but the clouds were amazing.

A dungeon

Next stop
The Crown Jewels
Amazing!!

Cobblestone paths
with London Bridge in the distance.

This view was amazing.
Maybe on the only picture of the 2 of us
at this amazing compound.

Henry the 8th's armour

I do believe the phrase
Crown Jewels
may have originated from him.

The armory

The walls around the compound
are very thick.

Headed back to the hotel.

Next stop
Kensington Palace

Royal Closet

So many weird outfits
Interesting fact...the only outfits display displayed in the closest were from
Princess Diana, Queen Elizabeth, and Princess Anne

Sunken Garden
Princess Diana's statue

Queen Victorie's Garden

London Underground
Each station have their own personalities

Flatiron Steak Company @ Victoria Station
They have amazing food

All natural ice cream
I believe that best I have ever had.

It was another great day!! We saw so much that is was overwhelming. Once again we are back to the hotel before dark totally exhausted. Ryder worked on some homework. I watched the news. Only shows were reruns from home and a whole lot of the president. It seems the London is just as fascinated by him as the news media are are at home.

Good Night!

Dream Trip

Ryder asked me a couple of months ago to renew my passport. We had talked about various places that we would like to visit. The top of my list was England. Ryder's was Dubia. My passport arrrived and he was ready to leave that day. However, reality kicked in that we needed time to prepare and triple check flights. We would be flying standby which can be a struggle in of itself. Then mattthe nerves kicked in and my feet started to drag.

March arrived with no plans made. Ryder took control and planned a birthday surprise. My assignment were getting a week of from work. Check!! He couldn't control his excitement and spilled the beans that we were off to London for a week. Our only problem was going to be flights our of Las Vegas. Quick thinking and flexability we all found ourselves driving to Los Angeles for Reganne's concert. Monday morning Dave & Reganne would drop us off at the airport to catch a flight to London.

We made it to the gate
with time to spare. Maybe just a little too much time.

He looks ready to get the show on the road.
Or rather lets in on the plane.

We made it!!
Not first class but business class instead.

He has a row to stretch out.
I am in the middle section all alone.

We Made It!!
This was our view out our window
at the hotel.
Not as bad as it could be.

British Museum
We landed around 10:00 in the morning.
Our goal is to stay awake until dark and try and see as much as we can.

Rosetta Stone

Largest library

This room was filled with books, visitors, maps, and claims to have had
very famous visitors.

Outside in the courtyard
There were so many people walking around. This was not
about English history but of various world cultures and artifacts.

Fish & Chips
We were starving and ready to eat.
There was so much food we could have shared one plate and be full.
The challenge is still going with 2 weeks left. Can I stay on track?

We had to get a picture of the sign in the window.
Hopefully remember our first meal in London.

The streets are crazy.
Not sure what the Harry Potter building was.
It looked like it has been here for years or maybe hundreds of years.

Our tummys are full, our feet are tired, and our eyes are starting to droop. The sun is also starting to set. Neither one of us felt confident to be out and about on our first night. We found our way back to our hotel for an early night.

Road Trip to LA

Swim ended about 9:00 pm and we headed out for LA at 2:00 am. Lucky me!! I can sleep in the car. Reganne & Ryder were in the front. Dave & I had the backseat to ourselves.  Reganne has tickets to J-Hope's concert which all her friends declined the invite to go with her. So Dave & Ryder were headed to Peterson Auto Museum after dropping Reganne & I off in Hollywood. The concert is tonight. Let's have a fun day while we are waiting.

My sugar day!!
We need to visit this store

Our view waiting in line
at the BT21 Store.
It's going to be a beautiful day.

The store is starting to come to life
Literaly!!

Displays have been moved around
since our last visit.

She is in heaven!!

Look at these cars.
The boys weren't too impressed
I believe they are here for Dancing With The Stars being
filmed here today.

Love this backdrop
We were having fun while waiting for the boys to come get us.

Hello!!
Let's hope they all survive this weekend.

Old fashioned hotel
We had a good room but no view.

Reganne had a great time at the concert. We could hear them from a mile away. So many fans filled the stadium. We couldn't get as close as we wanted to pick her up. Finally, finding her and driving slowly back to the hotel. She had the time of her life. I'm not sure how much she will actually sleep tonight.

Time to sleep so we can move on to our next adventure.

2025 Western Zone Senior Championships

Lucky us that this meet is at Utah Tech so no travel required. Let's have fun, swim hard, and make fair calls.

Evryone is in place

He is ready!

He had a good swim

Relay Crazies

Once again movement on the start end
is very chaotic and slightly dangerous trying to avoid falling in.

Look who made it to watch Ryder at
his final meet.

They are are ready.

Good swim and a wave to his fans.

Final session
I'm headed back to the pool with this nice golf shirt.
Nice enough to wear every day.

Pictures with friends

In the zone

One more swim
It's a relay

Just like that the meet is over.
Our swim life is over.

One last picture of the
team together.

It was a great meet full of exciting swims. Fun competition between team mates and even kids from other clubs. Swim is a sport that everyone is friends and not matter the outcome of each event they are truly excited for each other's success.

It's hard to believe that our swim life has come to an end.  Saying goodbye to friends is also a hard thing to do. I will however, see my friends again of the Summer Sizzle Meet in May.
